Not every GIS role gives you the chance to shape how an organisation uses spatial data.
In many positions, you're updating maps, maintaining datasets and responding to requests. Important work, certainly, but often a small part of a much bigger picture.
This opportunity is different.
As GIS Officer, you'll become the go-to expert for mapping and spatial information within an organisation responsible for managing critical infrastructure across Lincolnshire. The work you do will influence investment decisions, support major projects and help colleagues better understand and manage assets that play an important role in protecting communities, supporting businesses and safeguarding the local environment.
This is a role where you'll have the freedom to develop new ideas, improve systems and help drive the future direction of GIS across the organisation rather than simply maintaining what's already there.
The Role
You'll take ownership of the organisation's GIS function, managing spatial data, mapping systems and geographic information used by teams across the business.

Using ArcGIS Pro and associated GIS technologies, you'll develop and maintain mapping solutions, produce plans and visualisations, support infrastructure projects and ensure information remains accurate, accessible and valuable to decision-makers.
You'll work closely with colleagues across engineering, operations and asset management, helping translate complex spatial information into practical insights that support both day-to-day activities and long-term planning.
About You
You may already be working as a GIS Officer, GIS Technician, GIS Analyst, Mapping Officer or Geospatial Specialist and be ready for a position that offers greater ownership and influence.
We're equally interested in individuals who enjoy solving problems, improving systems and finding better ways to use data as we are in technical capability alone.
Experience with ArcGIS Pro or similar GIS platforms would be highly beneficial, but attitude, curiosity and a genuine enthusiasm for spatial information are just as important.
