GIS Support Consultant (Part-time, 5 months)

Fred. Olsen Seawind is an established, dedicated offshore wind developer. Building on Fred. Olsen Renewables’ 25-year track record, market presence, and portfolio, Fred. Olsen Seawind is bringing forward offshore wind developments in Scotland, Ireland, Norway, and other key markets. Utilising our extensive experience, we are focused on delivering projects with strong environmental and socio-economic benefits.

Across all our projects, our approach is underpinned by a commitment to collaborate with industry, government, and communities. By working in collaboration, we believe that we can support Scotland in its progress towards net zero and play an integral role in helping the country become a world leader in offshore wind.

We are excited to be recruiting a part-time GIS Support Consultant on a 5-month fixed-term contract. With flexible working arrangements, located in our Glasgow office if possible, you will provide ad hoc and routine GIS assistance to the project team, supporting the effective management, organisation, and analysis of spatial data throughout the project lifecycle.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced GIS professional looking to contribute their expertise on a part-time basis of 5 hours per week, with workload to be agreed and adjusted to accommodate peaks in demand associated with consenting, land acquisition, environmental assessment, or stakeholder engagement activities. The salary for this position is £40,000 per annum FTE (pro rata for part-time hours).

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
