GIS Technical Lead (ESRI / ArcGIS) Contract

  • Paying up to £700 Per Day
  • Inside IR35
  • Based in South Wales
  • Hybrid Working
  • 12 Month Contract

Your new role

We're seeking an experienced Technical Lead to provide architectural leadership, technical assurance and integration oversight for a major GIS transformation programme.

Working client-side, you'll act as the key interface between internal technology teams and delivery partners, ensuring solution designs are robust, secure, supportable and aligned to enterprise standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership and assurance across solution design and delivery
  • Define and validate end-to-end integration architecture, APIs, interfaces and data flows
  • Challenge supplier designs and identify technical risks, dependencies and gaps
  • Ensure solutions align with architecture, cloud, security and operational standards
  • Support governance, design reviews and technical assurance activities
  • Manage third-party technical deliverables and quality expectations
  • Work closely with architects, project teams and business stakeholders to drive successful delivery

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience as a Technical Lead, Solution Architect or Integration Architect
  • Strong GIS and ESRI experience, including enterprise geospatial platforms
  • Experience working on large scale supplier led or systems integrator led programmes
  • Strong understanding of APIs, integration patterns, cloud technologies and enterprise architecture
  • Experience engaging with architecture, cyber security and operational support teams
  • Ability to review and challenge technical designs and communicate recommendations to stakeholders
