We strive to be industry leaders in efficient, high-technology agriculture, employing highly skilled, pioneering people and supported by research and development in an ever-closer partnership with our sister company, Dyson. About The Role

Dyson Farming Research is looking for Seasonal Harvest Assistants to support the delivery of our glasshouse research programme during peak harvest periods. Working alongside the research team, you will help collect, process and record trial data across a diverse range of glasshouse experiments.

This is a hands-on role that supports critical harvesting and crop assessment activities, ensuring research trials are delivered accurately, consistently and on time. The role will involve supporting both routine trial operations and peak harvest periods, including occasional weekend working when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the delivery of commercially funded and industry-funded research projects, including Innovate UK programmes.
  • Support the preparation and submission of funding applications, grant claims and project documentation.
  • Monitor project milestones, deliverables, budgets and reporting deadlines.
  • Liaise with project partners, funders, suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Maintain project records and provide progress updates to the Dyson Farming Research team.
  • Coordinate the ordering and delivery of products, services and equipment required for research trials.
  • Raise purchase orders, manage procurement activities and maintain purchasing records.
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing invoices and support budget tracking and financial reporting.
  • Work closely with research teams and the finance department to ensure project expenditure is accurately managed and allocated.
  • Collate technical content from researchers and project teams for communication activities.
  • Support the production of newsletters, technical updates, reports, social media content and member communications.
  • Coordinate the collection of trial results, photographs and project updates for dissemination purposes.
  • Assist with the preparation of presentations, technical documents and event materials.
  • Coordinate research events, demonstrations, stakeholder visits and industry engagement activities.
  • Manage data entry systems and data collection processes for research trials.
  • Ensure trial data is entered accurately, consistently and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain databases and support data quality assurance procedures.
  • Maintain records of members, researchers, industry partners, suppliers and project stakeholders.
  • Organise meetings, maintain action logs and track follow-up actions.
  • Provide administrative support to the Head of Research and wider Dyson Farming Research team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
