Job Title: Glazier
Location: Barnet (Covering Barnet, Camden, Wembley, Westminster, Harrow, Ealing, Hounslow & Hammersmith)
Salary: £50,000 per annum + Company Van & Fuel Card
Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Glazier to join a well-established reactive maintenance team, carrying out repairs and maintenance works within occupied social housing properties across Barnet and the surrounding North West and West London areas. This is a mobile role covering Barnet, Camden, Wembley, Westminster, Harrow, Ealing, Hounslow and Hammersmith, therefore candidates must be comfortable travelling between properties throughout the working day.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out a range of glazing repairs and maintenance works within occupied residential properties.
- Repairing and replacing UPVC windows and doors, including locks, handles, hinges and mechanisms.
- Diagnosing and repairing tilt and turn window systems, ensuring they are operating safely and correctly.
- Replacing broken or damaged sealed units and glazing panels.
- Undertaking adjustments and repairs to UPVC doors and windows to ensure smooth operation.
- Carrying out remedial works including draught proofing, realignment and making good following repairs.
- Diagnosing faults efficiently and completing repairs to a high standard.
- Ensuring all work is completed safely, professionally and in line with company standards.
- Delivering excellent customer service while working within residents' homes.
- Managing your own workload and completing jobs within agreed timescales.
- Taking ownership of jobs from first visit through to completion.

Successful Applicants Will Be Expected To:

- Use PDA and mobile technology systems correctly.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Take ownership and responsibility for all allocated jobs.

Experience & Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Proven experience as a Glazier within reactive maintenance or social housing.
- Strong experience working with UPVC windows and doors, including repairs and replacements.
- Experience repairing and adjusting tilt and turn window systems.
- Knowledge of window and door hardware including hinges, handles, locks and mechanisms.
- Experience replacing sealed units and carrying out glazing repairs.
- Experience working within occupied residential properties.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage workloads effectively.
- Full UK manual driving licence (no automatic vans available).
