The Work You'll Do
Reporting to the VP of Global Strategic Sales, the Global Account Director will have the opportunity to work with a truly global team to provide a technology solution for critical needs and problems that our global customers and new prospects face. This role will directly manage the selling of the Sovos Tax Compliance Platform for assigned prospects and accounts.
More Specifically, You Will
- Generate new business opportunities for global strategic accounts while effectively managing internal enablement resources and working full sales cycle opportunities from initial contact, to close and up-sell/cross-sell
- Develop and execute an account-based commercial strategy for the Sovos Compliance Platform to increase sales opportunities and retain key customers
- Deliver profitable new business revenue growth in assigned territory while meeting and exceeding revenue targets and relevant quotas, and grow and manage a balanced pipeline across assigned territory
- Create and nurture executive and C-Suite relationships with existing clients and prospects, building a year-over-year record of consistent performance and accountability using multiple sales approaches
- Manage complex and technical sales into large global enterprises while acquiring and maintaining in-depth knowledge of the tax compliance industry and the emerging competitive landscape
- Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts and reports to inform management's strategic decision-making

What We Need From You
- Successful history of proven success selling SaaS-based or software solutions to large multi-national organizations through complex sales cycles
- Proven targeting, prospecting, and closing skills while achieving or exceeding revenue quotas for large multi-country accounts
- Ability to present and speak knowledgably to the C-Suite level, employing a highly analytical approach to defining client outcomes and articulating value
- Ability to use facts and data to tell a story that leads to sales, with excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic rapidly changing environment with strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Strong project management skills including follow through and ability to see projects to completion without significant oversight required
- Ability to take a concept, internalize it, rally others around it, drive its implementation, and identify ways to continuously improve it with a proven track record of success in improving organizational processes
- Willingness to travel moderately (less than 50%) both domestically and internationally to Sovos locations and events
Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check and drug test upon hire.
