This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring a high-performing, well-controlled and scalable Accounts Payable function that supports the Group's financial operations. Working closely with Procurement, Treasury, Finance and operational teams, you will be responsible for strengthening governance, improving processes and delivering an outstanding service to suppliers and internal stakeholders.

What you will do:

  • Own and continuously improve the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay process across the Group
  • Ensure compliance with the Group's No PO, No Pay policy and promote strong purchasing governance
  • Drive high standards in Purchase Order creation, approvals, coding, tax treatment and purchasing compliance
  • Ensure supplier invoices are accurately matched to Purchase Orders and receipts, resolving exceptions promptly
  • Monitor and improve key P2P metrics including PO compliance, three-way matching, GRNI, unmatched invoices, approval times and aged Purchase Orders
  • Partner with Procurement and business stakeholders to improve purchasing behaviours and strengthen controls
  • Lead the day-to-day operation of the global Accounts Payable function across multiple legal entities
  • Manage the outsourced Accounts Payable provider, ensuring delivery against agreed KPIs and service levels
  • Ensure supplier invoices are processed accurately, efficiently and in accordance with Group policies
  • Oversee supplier reconciliations, query resolution and month-end Accounts Payable activities
  • Own the Group supplier payment process, ensuring payments are accurate, appropriately authorised and aligned with agreed payment terms and cashflow requirements
  • Work closely with Treasury and Finance to prioritise payments based on business needs, supplier risk and cash availability
  • Coordinate payment runs and manage urgent or exception payments through the appropriate approval process
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Finance, Procurement and Operations, ensuring payment priorities are understood and managed effectively
  • Maintain a robust financial control environment across the Procure-to-Pay process
  • Support internal and external audits and ensure appropriate documentation and audit trails are maintained
  • Identify opportunities to automate, simplify and standardise Accounts Payable processes across the Group
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures and best practice guidance
  • Use data and KPIs to identify inefficiencies and drive operational excellence
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and accountability across the Accounts Payable function

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
