If you’re looking for a career that will help you stand out, join HSBC and fulfil your potential. Whether you want a career that could take you to the top, or simply take you in an exciting new direction, HSBC offers opportunities, support and rewards that will take you further.

HSBC is one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world, with operations in 64 countries and territories. We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people to fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.

We are currently seeking a professional to join our team in the role of Global AI Markets NFR – VP.

This is a new role within MSS AI Risk Management, established to provide dedicated governance, challenge and oversight of AI risk across Markets & Securities Services (MSS). The role will provide focused non-financial risk (NFR) coverage for AI Markets and related front-office AI capabilities, supporting safe and controlled adoption of AI in line with MSS and broader CIB risk standards.

This is an exciting opportunity to partner closely with the AI Markets business, helping to identify, assess, challenge and escalate AI-related risks, drive control enhancements, and ensure activity is managed in line with internal policy, responsible AI expectations and applicable regulatory standards.

As an HSBC employee in the UK, you will have access to tailored professional development opportunities and a competitive pay and benefits package. This includes private healthcare for all UK-based employees, enhanced maternity and adoption pay and support when you return to work, and a contributory pension scheme with a generous employer contribution.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
