Global AI Procurement Lead
Remote UK | Up to £150,000 + Package
My client, a leading global organisation, is looking to appoint a Global AI Procurement Lead to take on a senior, high-profile role within its global procurement function.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take a leading role in shaping the organisation’s global AI procurement strategy, while managing and developing a global sourcing team and personally leading some of its most complex and strategically important AI sourcing and commercial negotiations.
This is a hands-on leadership position where you will work closely with senior Technology leadership and act as a trusted procurement advisor on AI strategy, sourcing and major vendor negotiations.
The role:
- Lead complex AI sourcing and commercial negotiations at scale
- Develop and execute global AI procurement and category strategies
- Act as a senior AI procurement advisor to Technology leadership teams
- Personally lead major AI negotiations, RFPs, contracting and strategic sourcing programmes
- Work directly with major global AI and Technology suppliers
- Shape commercial strategies for the procurement of AI platforms, solutions and services
- Lead and develop a global team of 13 Sourcing Managers across multiple international locations
- Operate within a wider Technology Procurement remit of approximately $400m annual spend and 500+ sourcing projects
- Partner with senior Technology, Procurement and business stakeholders globally
- Drive commercial value, innovation, supplier performance and risk management across AI and Technology

What we're looking for:
You will be a senior AI / Technology Procurement leader with 10+ years' procurement experience and a strong track record within large, complex global organisations.
Significant hands-on AI procurement experience is essential. Candidates must be able to demonstrate experience in:
- Leading complex AI sourcing and commercial negotiations at scale
- Developing AI procurement and category strategies
- Acting as a senior AI procurement advisor to Technology leadership teams

You should also have significant experience negotiating complex Software, SaaS, Cloud and Technology Services agreements, alongside strong global team leadership experience. We are particularly interested in candidates who have directly negotiated AI platforms, solutions or services with major vendors such as Microsoft, OpenAI, Google, AWS, Anthropic, IBM, Oracle or other leading AI and Technology providers.
This is not a purely strategic or people-management position. You will personally lead major AI negotiations while helping define how a major global organisation approaches AI procurement, commercial strategy and supplier engagement.
