The Role
We are looking for an Global AI Technical Product Lead (Applied AI and Machine Learning) to lead the execution of High Impact AI and ML powered products across the organization. This is a high-impact individual leadership role operating as a horizontal Technology and product leader across Engineering, Operations, and Business teams. This is a hands-on leadership role combining strong technical depth and business impact ownership. You will combine deep technical expertise and product ownership in AI products with strong leadership and cross-functional execution. This is a transformation role focused towards High Impact and Targeted Use Cases at SATS globally. The leadership demands a constant connection with the frontline (Gemba), Business team, operational Excellence team, AI CoE, Global Data Science delivery team, Global Data Engineering and Management team. You will report directly to SVP of Data & AI to drive high-impact, strategic projects.
Key Responsibilities
Product Development
- As a Data and AI product leader you are an expert in Data, AI and ML scalable systems and infrastructure, solving complex problems
- Leading and bringing in the product lens for big bets AI programs across SATS. Working closely with the product owners (Operational Excellence) converting a project / program approach to a product based from Technical perspective, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and successful delivery of products embedding in the business processes.
- Own the Technical product roadmap for Strategic and Big Bet initiatives, technical readiness and completeness for global roll-out to different stations across SATS. Lead end-to-end AI Technical product lifecycle (From Discovery and Scale)
- Translate business problems into scalable AI solutions, Act as single-threaded Delivery owner for key AI initiatives working along with AI CoE, Global Data Engineering and delivery using Global Capability Centre for scalability. Drive adoption and continuous improvement working closely with the frontline as part of co-creation and FDE mindset.
- Working closely with SVP, Data and AI you will work and help Influence organizational leadership, business product teams, customers, partners, and suppliers by setting strategic direction for AI/ML products and Services driving key initiatives

Problem Solving and Foundational Skills
- Have mastered the concepts and can demonstrate Deep Learning, Statistical Analysis, Data Engineering, Big Data Technologies, Natural Language Processing (NLP) & Data Processing Frameworks skills in complex scenarios
- Hands-on understanding of the code base, be part of development (whenever needed) and play as a role of an FDE for advanced forecasting models (time series, probabilistic, hierarchical) and roll out for various stations globally working closely with the Globally Data Science Leader and Data Scientists and AI CoE leader.
- Design and implement optimization models (MIP, LP, heuristics) working closely with the Global Data Science and ML Team.
- Develop simulation frameworks for operational decision-making based on the outputs of the optimization engine to simulate / what if analysis.
- Solving complex, ambiguous business problems using data science techniques
- Build, Test and be part of the team for production roll-out.
- Collaborate with engineering teams for deployment and monitoring
- Ensure model robustness, explainability, and performance

Job Requirements
Educational Qualifications:
- MSc / PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Operations Research, or related field
- Ongoing commitment to training and professional development in AIML, Aviation Domain, Cargo handling, Ground handling milestones, Ground Freight and Food solutions.
Relevant Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years in data science or applied AI
- Strong expertise in: Time series forecasting, Optimization (MIP/LP) & Simulation techniques
- Proficiency in Python (NumPy, Pandas, PyTorch, OR-Tools) Python (SimPy, Gurobi), Python, SQL
- Strong statistical modeling
- EDA, statistical analysis
- Experience deploying models in production environments

Travel Requirements
- Some international travel may be required
