What You'll Do

We are dedicated to building AI-driven solutions that redefine our products, processes, and technology to deliver exceptional value, service, and flexibility to our consultants. Agile methodologies are central to this approach, and we seek leaders who are passionate about fostering this mindset across teams and business operations.

You will play a pivotal role in establishing standards, practices, and expertise within your squad. You will act as a "player-coach," directly contributing to squad work while cultivating engineering talent. By integrating solution architecture expertise with a focus on talent development, you will lead the creation and delivery of impactful GenAI products, enabling transformative outcomes for our business and customers.

Among your responsibilities, you will:

Leadership & Development

  • Build, coach, and mentor engineers.
  • Lead by example as a "player-coach": directly contributing to code and architecture, while growing engineering talent and setting best practices.
  • Foster a culture of learning, experimentation, and curiosity.

Technical Excellence

  • Champion engineering excellence, clean architecture, and maintainable code across squads.
  • Hands-on in backend development – leading complex problem-solving in Python (especially FastAPI).
  • Architect and support secure, scalable, and stable APIs and services that integrate with LLMs and modern cloud platforms (AWS).
  • Promote DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated quality assurance.
  • Leverage AI/agentic engineering tools for rapid development, with code-quality top of mind.

GenAI & System Thinking

  • Drive adoption and experimentation with large language models (LLMs), working closely with product and research teams.
  • Prioritize efficiencies by using AI engineering tools within your team.
  • Identify and articulate system-level tradeoffs, risks, and opportunities in AI-enabled architectures.
  • Stay current with AI and software engineering trends, contributing to technical strategy, experimentation, and roadmap definition.

What You'll Bring

  • 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with strong backend/API expertise using Python (FastAPI or Flask).
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience with LLMs: building RAG solutions, agentic workflows, integrating LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Gemini, Anthropic, etc.) into products, building and integrating Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, and authoring Claude Skills to extend agent capabilities, etc.
  • Experience in cloud-native development (AWS), with infrastructure and DevOps principles.
  • Strong systems thinking, architectural decision-making, and technical judgment.
  • Deep understanding of software design principles, with a track record of building resilient, maintainable, and scalable systems.
  • Passion, curiosity, and a proactive mindset with a track record of inspiring teams through complex challenges.
  • Experience working in high-paced Agile, product-oriented environments, with a focus on continuous delivery and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to influence across functions and seniority levels.
