It's more than a job

In this IT role, you will manage, develop, and support the technology infrastructure that powers Kuehne+Nagel’s global systems and operations. This contribution is vital to making both special and ordinary moments in the lives of people a reality. In fact, your work enables our teams to deliver fresh fruit, time-sensitive healthcare products and much more to people all around the world. Working in IT at Kuehne+Nagel contributes to more than we imagine.

Are you passionate about technology, software craftsmanship and making a real difference in global logistics? We are looking for a Global Air Logistics IT (Senior) Software Engineer to join our team in Milton Keynes and help us build and evolve the applications that keep time-critical perishable shipments moving around the world.

You will work on KN FreshLOG as part of our Air Perishables Digital Product Landscape and the wider suite of applications our operational teams rely on every day. As part of the team, you will design and implement solutions in Java following agile principles, work closely with business stakeholders, and contribute to the continuous optimisation of our systems.

We welcome candidates at all levels — from junior developers with strong Java fundamentals through to senior engineers with Air Logistics domain experience and a track record of contributing to architecture decisions in distributed teams.

How you create impact

  • Work with operational and product stakeholders to analyse business processes, then design and implement solutions end-to-end
  • Participate actively in design and architecture discussions
  • Write clean, well-tested code following our engineering standards and the principles of the Agile Manifesto
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines; contribute to containerisation and cloud deployments
  • Continuously optimise, stabilise and improve existing Air Perishables applications
  • Partner with business leaders, operational teams and technology colleagues to deliver innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and share findings and recommendations with colleagues
  • Engage in regular sprint ceremonies: stand-ups, planning, code reviews and retrospectives

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
