Company Description

About Societe Generale

Societe Generale was established in the UK in 1871 as the Group’s first international office outside France. The Group’s expertise in the UK ranges from corporate and investment banking to private banking and securities services, as well as specialised financial services including vehicle and equipment finance.

Our Global Banking & Advisory teams offer tailor-made solutions to corporates, financial institutions and the public sector. Our services cover M&A, debt, equity and capital structure advisory. They are combined with high-quality debt and equity capital raising, optimised financing, and risk management specialising in foreign exchange and rates derivatives.

Our Culture

At Societe Generale CIB, we expect all our people to demonstrate sound judgement, personal accountability, and a commitment to acting responsibly and with integrity. We value an environment where concerns can be raised openly, risks are managed proactively, and our conduct standards are lived - not just documented. If that resonates with how you work, we want to hear from you.

What’s in it for you?

Join us as an intern in Global Banking & Advisory a variety of different business areas which could include Investment Banking Industries, Debt Capital Markets, Energy, Infrastructure, Syndication and Coverage and discover a future where you can learn, discover and be yourself.

The internship is a structured 8-week programme with a variety of core learnings, optional learnings, networking sessions and you will work on a group project presented at the end of the Summer. Completing the Summer Internship is a route to potentially securing a place on our Graduate Programme starting in 2028.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
