Global Benefits Manager | Permanent
Central London, The City (Hybrid – 3 days/week in office)
£80,000–£95,000 + 20% bonus
Benefits strategy across seven countries, real M&A exposure, and a business that isn't asking you to maintain what exists, it's asking you to build it.
This is an individual contributor role with genuine influence: you'll own benefits planning and delivery across the UK, US, Canada, Bermuda, Poland, Greece and Switzerland, reporting into the VP of Total Rewards, with two indirect reports (UK and Canada) supporting day-to-day.
Can you be the UK benefits SME while still holding a credible, strategic view across six other markets?
Are you comfortable stepping into live M&A activity, integrating, harmonising and consolidating benefits offerings as the business keeps acquiring?
Can you walk into ambiguity, make a call, and hold your ground with stakeholders who'll push back?
What you'll own:
- UK and global benefits strategy, working directly with the VP of Total Rewards to shape the international framework
- Benefits planning, renewals and broker relationships across all seven markets
- M&A-driven benefits integration and harmonisation. This will be a recurring part of this business, not a one-off project
- Vendor and compliance management across multiple jurisdictions, including statutory filings and audits
- Escalation point for complex benefits and vendor issues, plus two indirect reports across the UK and Canada
- Employee experience end-to-end, from enrolment through to year-round communications

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What you'll need:
- Deep UK benefits SME experience, with genuine exposure to global or multi-country benefits
- Hands-on M&A experience. You understand the process, not just the outcome
- A track record of owning and delivering benefits strategy, not just administering it
- Comfort operating in ambiguity, showing gravitas, sound judgement and a bias to action
- Sharp stakeholder management; you can think on your feet and hold your own with tough audiences
- Experience managing a business through auto-enrolment timing is a strong advantage. This one lands in December
Worth knowing:
- Fast-scaling global fintech and insurance services group. Acquisitive, ambitious, and growing hard
- 25 days' leave (rising with service, capped at 30), 10% non-contributory pension, private medical and dental, income protection and life assurance
- Two-stage process: a virtual conversation followed by a face-to-face final in the London office
