Job Description
We're currently looking to hire an Assistant Portfolio Manager.
As Assistant Portfolio Manager you'll assist in the management of one or several funds in accordance with stated fund objectives and risk guidelines. Monitor investment performance and ensure that broader investment strategy is agreed in consultation with the senior management team. Work closely with research analysts to identify relevant investment ideas.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting the construction and management of portfolios in line with fund objectives, agreed risk budgets and relevant investment guidelines
- Managing day-to-day portfolio activity, including cash flows, corporate actions and index changes
- Conducting detailed research and analysis to identify compelling investment opportunities across global bond markets
- Collaborating with research analysts to assess investment ideas, incorporating fundamental, quantitative and ESG considerations
- Monitoring portfolio performance, risk metrics, positioning and performance attribution
- Producing clear and insightful investment reporting for internal stakeholders and clients
- Contributing to internal and external presentations, marketing activity and the sharing of research across teams
- Maintaining high standards of risk management, regulatory compliance, market conduct and client-focused decision-making

Who we’re looking for:
- A degree-level qualification, with a CFA or equivalent financial qualification welcomed but not essential
- Knowledge of financial markets, global macroeconomic conditions and the factors influencing bond and credit markets
- Experience analysing investment opportunities and applying financial modelling techniques
- An understanding of portfolio construction, investment risk measures and forward-looking risk assessment
- The ability to develop well-researched investment insights using independent and detailed analysis
- Strong analytical skills, with coding capability and familiarity with investment analysis applications beneficial
- Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to internal and external audiences
- A collaborative and inclusive approach, with good judgement, intellectual curiosity and a commitment to positive client outcomes
