About Finance Reinvention Partner
Accenture’s Finance Reinvention Partner helps CFOs and finance leaders reinvent how finance creates and protects enterprise value—bringing together strategy, operating model, data, AI and technology to improve performance, insight, control and execution. In the UK and Ireland, the practice combines finance strategy and transformation capabilities with the enterprise platforms that enable them, including SAP, Oracle, Workday and enterprise performance management solutions.
Our GBS and Operating Model team helps clients design and implement how finance and other enterprise services should be organised and delivered across retained functions, Global Business Services, Global Capability Centres, Centres of Excellence and external service providers. We support the full transformation journey—from strategy, value case and target operating model through detailed design, mobilisation, implementation, service management and continuous improvement—embedding data, automation and AI to create scalable, resilient and value-led operations.
Why this role
This role turns an agreed captive GCC strategy into an operating model that can be staffed, transitioned, launched and run. You will own defined design and mobilisation workstreams and work directly with client leaders, process owners and enabling functions.
What you'll bring
- Relevant GCC design and mobilisation experience. At least 6 years’ relevant experience across GCC, GBS, shared services, operating-model design, service transition, business transformation or consulting.
- Detailed operating-model design. Practical experience translating an approved strategy and high-level operating model into detailed service scope, activity placement, organisation structures, roles, decision rights, retained-team interfaces, governance, controls, service levels and implementation requirements.
- Activity, capacity and workforce analysis. Strong capability in analysing activities, volumes, FTEs, costs, demand patterns, productivity, seasonality, process variation and skills. You can use this evidence to develop capacity models, spans and layers, role profiles, recruitment plans, workforce phasing, capability requirements and transition assumptions.
- Service-scope and activity-placement judgement. Experience assessing which activities should move to the GCC, remain within retained or local teams, sit within a Centre of Excellence or Global Process Owner structure, be delivered by an external provider, or be supported by automation and AI. Understanding of the implications for business proximity, judgement, control, capability, service quality and scalability.
- Finance Functional and multi-tower understanding. Deep experience in finance transformation/ finance functions—with sufficient cross-functional understanding to work across multiple services, towers or GCC workstreams.
- Transition and operational-readiness experience. Practical experience of recruitment ramp-up, onboarding, training, knowledge capture and transfer, migration waves, service-acceptance criteria, control readiness, cutover, business continuity, hypercare and stabilisation.
- Governance and service-management understanding. Experience defining process and service ownership, RACIs, decision forums, service levels, performance and control measures, escalation routes, issue resolution and service-review routines across retained functions, GCC delivery teams and other stakeholders.
- Technology and data fluency. Understand how ERP, workflow and case-management tools, service platforms, data, analytics, process mining, automation and AI shape the GCC operating model. Assess their implications for service scope, activity placement, roles, capacity, skills, controls, data ownership, hand-offs and performance, and translate these into clear requirements for specialist teams.
- Automation and AI work-design judgement. Assess where automation or AI may perform, support or coordinate work; where human judgement and accountability must remain; and how roles, skills, approvals, exception handling, monitoring, controls and human oversight should change.
- Enabling-function coordination. Understand the dependencies that GCC design can create for HR, Legal, Tax, Real Estate, Procurement, Cybersecurity, Data Privacy, Risk, Regulatory Compliance and Business Continuity. Identify, coordinate and incorporate specialist requirements without being expected to provide the underlying technical or professional advice.
- Delivery capability. Independently lead a substantial client workstream, facilitate structured workshops, manage a team, develop executive-ready recommendations and maintain control of scope, quality, risks, assumptions, decisions and dependencies. You are comfortable working across functional, operational, technology and enabling-function stakeholders.
- Relevant industry context. Experience in Consumer Goods & Services, Utilities, Energy or another complex, multinational environment/similar sectors, with an understanding of how industry requirements affect service location, operating hours, workforce, controls, resilience and transition.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What you'll accountable for
- Confirm the detailed-design scope and assumptions for your workstream, ensuring alignment with the approved GCC mandate, location, service portfolio, target operating model, business case and implementation roadmap.
- Establish the current-state fact base for the assigned services or functions, covering activities, volumes, FTEs, costs, demand, skills, performance, process variation, local requirements, technology and data dependencies, controls and operational pain points.
- Develop detailed service-scope and activity-placement designs, defining what will move to the GCC, what will remain within retained or local teams, and how Centres of Excellence, Global Process Owners, external providers, automation and AI will contribute to service delivery.
- Design the organisation, capacity and workforce model for the assigned scope, including roles, accountabilities, decision rights, spans and layers, leadership interfaces, workforce phasing, recruitment ramp-up, learning needs, capability development and distributed ways of working.
- Define the operating interfaces and governance model between the GCC, retained functions, local teams, Global Process Owners, Centres of Excellence, technology and data teams and, where relevant, external providers. Establish clear hand-offs, RACIs, escalation routes, decision forums and service-review arrangements.
- Develop service-management and control requirements, including service definitions, ownership, service levels, performance and control measures, issue resolution, service acceptance and continuous-improvement arrangements.
- Develop the supporting capacity, cost and implementation assumptions for your workstream, including productivity, workforce phasing, recruitment, transition effort, implementation cost and benefit dependencies, ensuring consistency with the overall GCC business case.
- Define the business, data, control and readiness requirements for enterprise platforms, workflow, analytics, automation, AI, workplace, security and infrastructure. Work with specialist teams to ensure the enabling solutions support the intended operating model without taking ownership of technical architecture or system configuration.
- Coordinate enabling-function inputs and dependencies, ensuring that relevant HR, Legal, Tax, Real Estate, Procurement, Cybersecurity, Data Privacy, Regulatory and Business Continuity requirements are incorporated into the detailed design and mobilisation plan.
- Lead transition and operational-readiness planning for the assigned scope, covering recruitment and onboarding, knowledge transfer, training, migration waves, entry and exit criteria, control readiness, service acceptance, cutover, business continuity, hypercare and stabilisation.
- Lead client workshops and manage workstream delivery, including outputs, decisions, assumptions, risks, dependencies, quality and reporting. Coach analysts and consultants and contribute to proposals, estimates, methods and reusable GCC assets.
