Global Category Manager, Direct Materials

📍 Remote, UK | Closest UK Site: Glasgow

Are you a strategic procurement professional ready to make a global impact?

At Curia, we're looking for a Global Category Manager, Direct Materials to lead sourcing strategy for a critical portfolio of manufacturing materials valued at approximately $50M annually. This is a highly visible role where you'll drive commercial value, strengthen supplier partnerships, mitigate supply risk, and support the delivery of life-changing therapies worldwide.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute global category and sourcing strategies.
  • Lead complex supplier negotiations and commercial agreements.
  • Deliver cost savings, value creation, and supply chain resilience.
  • Build strategic supplier relationships that drive performance and innovation.
  • Partner with stakeholders across Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, Engineering, and Regulatory Affairs.
  • Use market intelligence and data analytics to identify opportunities and manage risk.

What You'll Bring

  • Proven experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Category Management.
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
  • Experience working in a global or multi-site environment.
  • Degree in a scientific discipline and/or professional procurement qualification.
  • Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, CDMO, or Chemical Manufacturing experience is highly desirable.
