Global Category Manager - Remote
As a Global Category Manager - Remote you'll lead procurement strategies to optimise supplier relationships and ensure cost-effective sourcing in the industrial and manufacturing sector. This role is pivotal in streamlining the supply chain and driving efficiency for the business.

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Category Manager to lead the development and execution of global sourcing strategies across a direct material category.
This is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving value creation, supplier performance, supply continuity, and risk management while ensuring alignment between procurement strategy and broader business objectives.
Description
The Global Category Manager - Remote Role will be responsible for:
- Develop and implement global category strategies to achieve cost savings and operational efficiency.
- Manage supplier relationships, ensuring high-quality service and long-term partnerships.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure the best value for the organisation.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement activities with business goals.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or risks proactively.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and industry regulations.
- Provide regular reports on category performance and cost-saving initiatives.

Profile
A successful Global Category Manager should have:
- Proven experience in procurement and supply chain management within the industrial or manufacturing sector.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Ability to develop and implement effective category strategies.
- Excellent analytical and market research capabilities.
- Proficiency in relevant procurement tools and systems.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with internal and external stakeholders.
- A results-driven approach with a focus on achieving cost savings and efficiency.
- Relevant professional qualifications or certifications in procurement or supply chain management.

Job Offer
- Salary £50,000 and £60,000 dependent on experience.
- 26 Days + Bank Holidays
- Pension contribution
