About SharkNinja
At SharkNinja, our purpose is to positively impact people's lives in homes around the world. We create 5-star products that solve real problems — and bring them to market with the same level of ambition.
Our creative team operates at the intersection of product, brand, and performance. We are consumer-centric, digging for insights and iterating until we find what truly resonates. We are product-led, where our innovation is the story. We are idea-driven, building platforms and systems, not just campaigns. And we are increasingly AI-enabled, using new tools to move faster, explore more, and raise the bar.
This is a team that values speed, ownership, and craft — and expects its leaders to be both strategic thinkers and practicing makers.
The Role
We're looking for a Global Design Director for Shark Home to define what Shark looks like — and where it goes next.
This isn't just an execution role. You shape product identities, build visual systems from scratch, and architect creative platforms that drive demand across the full funnel. You work upstream — with product, insights, and marketing — influencing how products are positioned, named, and brought to life before briefs are written.
You think in systems, not assets. Platforms, not one-offs. Speed and taste that scales across every touchpoint and performs in the real world.
You're as comfortable sweating the smallest pixel as you are concepting a campaign platform from scratch — and you understand that both matter equally. You bring sustained creative rigor to everything you touch: the willingness to go back to an idea, pressure-test it, refine it, and push it further until it's genuinely right. That kind of discipline — applied consistently across a high volume of work — is what it takes to succeed here.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
You're fluent in modern creative tools, including Chat, Claude and node-based canvas for image and video creation like Figma Weave or a similar platform, using them to accelerate exploration and hold a high bar for taste and originality. You lead and grow a design team while staying hands-on in the work — setting the standard by doing it yourself.
What You'll Do
- Own Shark's conceptual and design direction across packaging, DTC, Amazon, retail, video, and thumb-stopping social ideas.
- Define product identities from 0 to 1 in partnership with product and insights teams.
- Work upstream to shape product positioning and opportunity areas before the brief.
- Build scalable visual systems and campaign platforms that travel across channels.
- Design for modern attention — platform-native, performance-aware, brand-building.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of designers while staying actively in the work.
- Use AI tools to push the pace and quality of exploration.
- Present and sell creative direction to senior stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
- 10–15+ years in creative direction, design or art direction, with significant time at a senior or director level.
- A portfolio that demonstrates strong conceptual thinking, visual systems, packaging and product identity work.
- Proven ability to define and launch brand and product identities from the ground up.
- Experience working upstream with product and insights to shape positioning.
- Fluency across brand and performance channels — packaging, DTC, Amazon, retail, and social.
- Strong instincts for motion and social-native design.
- High craft standards at every level of the work — from system architecture to execution detail.
- Deep fluency in Adobe Creative Suite and modern design workflows.
- A working, opinionated relationship with AI in the creative process.
You'll Thrive Here If You
- Think like a builder — systems, not one-offs.
- Care about creating demand, not just making things look good.
- Are equally at home concepting a campaign platform and perfecting a single layout.
- Hold yourself to a high standard of creative rigor and expect the same from your team.
- Commit to an idea for as long as the work demands — revisiting, refining, and raising it until it's genuinely excellent.
- Move fast, iterate often, and don't wait for perfect conditions.
- Lead by example every day.
