Global Digital & E-commerce Assistant Manager

Background to the Role

The Global Digital & E-commerce Assistant Manager is responsible for driving the execution of global digital commerce strategies that accelerate brand growth, consumer engagement, and online sales performance across Rimmel, Max Factor, and Bourjois. Working closely with markets, retailers, agencies, and cross-functional teams, this role translates brand and commercial objectives into best-in-class digital commerce programs, content strategies, and shopper experiences.

The role plays a key part in enhancing digital shelf excellence, improving online discoverability through SEO/GEO optimization, growing consumer advocacy through Ratings & Reviews programs, and delivering high-impact digital activations that drive conversion and market share growth.

Key Responsibilities

Digital & E-commerce Strategy Execution

  • Execute global digital and e-commerce strategies aligned with brand and commercial priorities.
  • Support the development of annual digital commerce plans, ensuring strong alignment across markets and channels.
  • Identify growth opportunities through consumer, retailer, and market insights.
  • Monitor emerging digital, social commerce, and retail media trends, recommending opportunities to enhance brand performance.

Digital Shelf Excellence & Content Optimisation

  • Lead digital shelf excellence initiatives across priority retail partners.
  • Ensure best-in-class product content, imagery, enhanced content, and brand pages across all key e-commerce platforms.
  • Drive content syndication and consistency across markets and retailer environments.
  • Partner with local teams to improve content compliance, visibility, and conversion performance.

SEO, GEO & Discoverability

  • Support the development and implementation of SEO and Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) strategies.
  • Optimise product and brand content to improve search visibility and discoverability across retailer, search, and AI-led platforms.
  • Monitor performance metrics and identify opportunities to drive traffic, engagement, and conversion.

Ratings & Reviews Leadership

  • Manage global Ratings & Reviews programs to increase consumer advocacy, trust, and conversion.
  • Partner with markets, retailers, and agencies to drive review generation, sampling, and consumer engagement initiatives.
  • Track review performance including ratings, volume, sentiment, and review recency.
  • Translate consumer feedback into actionable recommendations for product, content, and shopper experience improvements.

Digital Activations & Product Launches

  • Lead the digital commerce implementation of global product launches and campaigns.
  • Collaborate with brand, media, and influencer teams to deliver integrated digital activations.
  • Ensure launch assets and content are optimized for retailer, social commerce, and owned channels.
  • Track launch performance and share learnings and best practices globally.

Analytics & Performance Optimisation

  • Monitor and report on key digital and e-commerce KPIs.
  • Analyse consumer, retailer, and content performance data to identify growth opportunities.
  • Develop actionable recommendations to improve conversion, discoverability, and consumer engagement.
  • Share insights and performance updates with key stakeholders.

Stakeholder & Agency Management

  • Build strong relationships with markets, retailers, agency partners, and cross-functional teams.
  • Act as a key point of contact for digital commerce projects and initiatives.
  • Support budget management and ensure delivery against agreed objectives and timelines.
  • Influence and align stakeholders to ensure excellence in execution globally.

Success Measures

  • Successful delivery of digital commerce content, activations, and product launches.
  • Delivery of e-commerce sales, market share, and profitability targets.
  • Improved digital shelf excellence, online discoverability, and content performance.
  • Growth in conversion, consumer acquisition, and engagement metrics.

What You Will Bring

Required Competencies:

  • Proven experience in Digital Marketing, E-commerce, Digital Commerce, or Omnichannel Marketing.
  • Strong understanding of content optimisation and production management.
  • Experience leading Ratings & Reviews or consumer advocacy initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and project leadership capabilities.
  • Passion for beauty, consumer trends, and digital innovation.
