This position reports to:
Division Global Head of Service Excellence
The Global Division Service Automation & Care Manager is responsible for driving lifecycle value across the PI installed base through Automation modernization initiatives and Care Agreements.
The role owns the visibility and management of the installed base lifecycle, working closely with Automation Managers, Product Managers, Service Managers, and Business Lines.
The position contributes to growth strategies in close alignment with Process Industries Automation, Service Managers, and Product Managers.

Key Responsibilities:

Installed Base & Lifecycle Ownership
- Drive visibility and understanding of the Automation and PI installed base across Business Lines.
- Define lifecycle and segmentation approaches to identify growth opportunities, risks, and modernization needs. Identify and accelerate automation modernization opportunities across the installed base.
- Promote best practices in lifecycle management and installed base development across the organization and facilitate cross-functional alignment and standardization to support sustainable growth.
- Partner with Product Management, Service, and Business Line teams to develop scalable lifecycle offerings.

ASM & Care Portfolio Leadership
- Lead the evolution and growth of the ASM and Care portfolio, ensuring clear positioning and customer value.
- Drive ASM adoption and expansion in partnership with Product Management, Service teams, and Business Lines.
- Establish governance and visibility for contracts and renewals, and reshape the portfolio value proposition and performance.

Program Leadership
- Lead the Care & ASM workstream within the DCS Recovery Program.
- Define priorities, KPIs, governance, and stakeholder alignment to deliver measurable business impact.
- Drive initiatives that increase Care penetration, ASM adoption, and protection of the installed base.

Service Portfolio & Business Line Enablement
- Drive a consistent service portfolio structure and value proposition across Process Industries.
- Lead initiatives that improve service delivery, portfolio adoption, and operational excellence.
- Support the transition toward value-based customer engagements and scalable service solutions.

Performance Management & KPIs
- Define and monitor key performance indicators that support lifecycle growth and service excellence.
- Track performance across Care, ASM, modernization, renewals, and pipeline development.
- Use data-driven insights to identify improvement opportunities and drive corrective actions.
Required Capabilities & Personal Attributes:
To thrive in this role, you bring significant experience within Industrial Automation, ideally gained over many years working with automation systems, lifecycle services, modernization programs, or service portfolio management. You have a strong understanding of how to create long-term value from an installed base and know how to translate strategy into measurable business results.

Navigating complex, global matrix organizations comes naturally to you, and you are comfortable influencing stakeholders across different functions, levels, and geographies, even when you do not have direct authority.
You are recognized for building strong relationships, creating alignment, and driving change through collaboration. Your customer-centric mindset enables you to shift conversations from activities and products to outcomes and value. You are equally comfortable discussing portfolio strategy with senior leaders and working with operational teams to turn plans into action.
Success in this position requires a proactive and structured approach, strong ownership, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. You are motivated by continuous improvement, energized by cross-functional collaboration, and passionate about delivering sustainable growth through innovation, service excellence, and operational discipline.
Additional Information
- Scope: Global / multi-region within Process Industries
- Travel: Approximately 10–20% for customer meetings, workshops, and global deployment activities
- Languages: Fluent English required; additional languages are an advantage
