About The Role
The Global Estimating Manager owns how Volta prices what it builds. You will set the estimating standards and benchmarks behind every project baseline, giving the business cost certainty early — when it matters most.
Working closely with front-end planning, procurement, and the wider controls function, you will build should-cost models for major packages, benchmark across the fleet, and make Volta a sharper buyer with every project.
What You Will Be Doing
- Own estimating standards, methods, and tools across the Volta fleet
- Produce and assure estimates through feasibility, front-end planning, and baselining
- Build should-cost models for major packages and critical equipment
- Develop cost benchmarks across projects, regions, and delivery models
- Support procurement negotiations with independent cost intelligence
- Reconcile estimates against outturn cost and sharpen the models each cycle
- Coach project teams on estimating practice and assumptions
- Feed estimating insight into design and delivery strategy decisions
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
