Partner — Executive Search (Independent Practice, Global Platform)

The best thing about being independent is you have no one to answer to.

The worst thing is you have no one to think with.

Running your own search practice gives you autonomy, ownership of your client relationships and the freedom to work your market your way.

What independence can take away is the colleague who's seen the same situation before, the partner who can take the other half of a cross-border mandate, the sense that your practice is part of something with more reach than your own diary.

Zensho exists for exactly that. We are a global executive search platform whose Partners are established, independent search professionals across the UK, Europe, US, Japan and Australia, working across sectors including Life Sciences, Legal, Technology, Finance and Public Affairs.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What stays the same

Everything that made you go independent in the first place. Your clients remain your clients. Your niche remains your niche. You still decide how you work whether it's retained, contingency, interim or project-based. You keep the substantial majority of what you bill. There is no manager, no desk, no imposed methodology.

What changes

You stop operating alone. As a Zensho Partner you gain:

  • Partners to think with. Experienced search professionals across sectors and markets who you can talk to for a second opinion on a tricky shortlist, a sanity check on a pitch, or simply people who understand the work.
  • Collaboration and shared mandates. When a search calls for capability you don't have in a sector, a seniority level, or a geography, you deliver it with a partner rather than declining it or referring it away.
  • Global reach. When your client's next hire is in Tokyo, New York or Sydney, you have Partners on the ground to help you pursue and deliver it.
  • A brand behind your name. Operating under a global platform gives you additional credibility and reach, particularly when competing for retained or international assignments.
