Job Title: Global Experiences Assistant
About The Role
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Global Experiences Assistant to join our team. This role sits within the Global Experiences team and will initially focus on supporting our inbound Study Abroad programme, while also contributing to a wider portfolio of global opportunities delivered across the University.
This is an exciting opportunity for applicants looking to gain experience of working in a global team and supporting students participating in international programmes. This varied and challenging role offers the opportunity to work closely with students, Lancaster’s global partners and colleagues across the University, helping to deliver a high-quality experience throughout the student journey. As an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a student-facing role, this is ideally suited to a highly motivated team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to work calmly under pressure.
Joining the Team
The Global Experiences team works to motivate, engage and enable students in mobility opportunities overseas. We place accessibility at the heart of our programmes to help enable students from widening participation and disadvantaged backgrounds to participate.
The team’s portfolio of work includes studying abroad as part of degree programmes, summer schools and vacation programmes as well as supporting internationalisation at home and digital connections. With strategic partnerships in Ghana, China, Malaysia, Germany and Indonesia, and collaborations worldwide, we are committed to global engagement. Key Responsibilities
This role will support the administration and delivery of Global Experiences porfolio, initially focusing on the incoming Study Abroad programme and working closely with the Global Experiences Officers and colleagues across campus and internationally. The role will:
- Support the administration of student mobility programmes, maintaining accurate records and assisting with admissions, enrolment and student support processes.
- Act as a key point of contact for students, responding to enquiries and providing guidance and support throughout their experience.
- Support communication with partner institutions and other stakeholders, ensuring information is shared accurately and promptly.
- Assist with the delivery of student welcome, orientation and engagement activities, contributing to a positive student experience.
- Support the organisation and delivery of events, activities and programme-related initiatives, including logistical and administrative arrangements.
- Maintain programme data, records and mailing lists, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
- Contribute to the maintenance of online content and promotional materials, supporting the visibility of Global Experiences opportunities.
- Work collaboratively across the Global Experiences team to support a range of projects and activities as required.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will be highly organised, proactive and committed to delivering excellent customer service. You will have strong administrative skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage a varied workload whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy. You will be a strong communicator who enjoys building positive working relationships, and previous experience in an administrative, office or customer service environment would be beneficial.

You will join us on a fixed-term contract until the end of July 2027 to cover a member of staff currently on secondment.
