Marc Daniels is partnering with a high-growth, global sports media organisation to recruit a Global Financial Controller who will own group reporting and drive the next phase of international expansion.

The Role
As Global Financial Controller, you will be the technical and commercial lead for group reporting across multiple international entities. You will:
- Own US GAAP reporting including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.
- Lead preparation and review of international statutory accounts across several jurisdictions.
- Manage a small, high-performing finance team, providing mentorship, direction, and clear development paths.
- Oversee group consolidation, including multiple entities, foreign branches, and complex intercompany positions.
- Take responsibility for foreign currency matters, including translation, revaluation, and hedging in a multi-currency environment.
- Strengthen global controls, policies, and processes as the business scales, embedding best practice across all regions.
- Manage relationships with external auditors and advisors on complex technical accounting matters.
- Partner with senior leadership, providing clear insight on performance, risks, and opportunities, and contributing to key strategic decisions.

Candidate Profile

- Fully qualified (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with at least 5–6 years’ post-qualified experience.
- Strong in US GAAP and confident acting as the in-house technical expert.
- Experienced in international statutory accounts and multi-entity, cross-border reporting.
- Comfortable working in a multi-currency environment and dealing with foreign subsidiaries.
- Ideally trained in practice, with experience in or exposure to fast-growing, international businesses.
- Commercially minded, strong communicators, and comfortable working with non-finance stakeholders.
