We're looking for a Global FP&A Manager - Business Performance & Insight to join our Finance team. This is a high-impact role that will help shape the future of our global Financial Planning & Analysis capability, providing strategic insight, driving performance, and supporting decision-making across the business.
About The Role
Reporting to the Director of FP&A, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing Buro Happold's global planning, forecasting, and performance management capability. Working closely with senior leaders and finance teams around the world, you'll transform data into actionable insights that support strategic decisions and improve business performance.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to move beyond traditional reporting and become a trusted business partner, helping leaders identify opportunities, manage risks, and deliver sustainable growth.
What You'll Be Doing
Strategic Planning & Performance Management
- Support the translation of business strategy into measurable financial and operational objectives.
- Develop insightful performance measures and KPIs that enable leaders to assess progress against strategic goals.
- Identify opportunities to improve growth, profitability, utilisation, productivity, and overall business performance.
- Deliver recommendations that drive measurable business outcomes.
Planning, Forecasting & Scenario Modelling
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning activities.
- Develop driver-based models that improve visibility and predictability of business performance.
- Deliver scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Analyse trends and business drivers to continually improve forecast accuracy.
Insight & Decision Support
- Transform complex financial and operational data into clear, actionable insights.
- Support investment decisions, strategic initiatives, and business case development.
- Identify emerging risks and opportunities, providing recommendations and mitigation strategies.
- Deliver forward-looking analysis for executive stakeholders.

Business Partnering
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders, regional finance teams, and key stakeholders.
- Challenge assumptions constructively and promote evidence-based decision-making.
- Strengthen alignment between operational performance, resource planning, and strategic priorities.
- Build strong collaborative relationships across a global business.
Executive Reporting
- Develop executive-level reporting, presentations, and compelling performance narratives.
- Clearly communicate trends, opportunities, risks, and business impacts.
- Leverage external benchmarking and market intelligence to provide strategic context.
Continuous Improvement
- Support the development of best-in-class FP&A processes and governance.
- Drive standardisation, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Improve data quality, consistency, and organisational performance visibility.
What We Are Looking For
We're looking for an experienced and commercially minded finance professional who combines strong analytical capability with the ability to influence and partner effectively across a complex global business.
You'll Bring
- A professional finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Significant experience in FP&A, commercial finance, business performance, or a related field.
- Strong forecasting, planning, financial modelling, and analytical skills.
- A proven ability to generate meaningful insights from complex financial and operational data.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing capabilities.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with reporting and analytics tools, ideally Power BI.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
- A strategic mindset, commercial awareness, and a passion for continuous improvement.
