Location: London

A global financial data and analytics business is looking to hire a Global Head of Account Management to lead its Account Management function across an established institutional client base.

This is a senior commercial leadership role with responsibility for a global team of 15–20 Account Managers, owning the strategy and performance across client retention, renewals and account growth.

The business provides a range of specialist data, research and analytics solutions to investment professionals globally, with a strong client base across asset managers, hedge funds, banks and other financial institutions.

The Role

  • Lead and develop a global Account Management team of 15–20 people.
  • Own the global strategy for client retention, renewals, cross-sell and upsell.
  • Drive revenue growth across an established portfolio of institutional clients.
  • Establish clear commercial targets, KPIs and performance standards across the global team.
  • Build a consistent approach to account planning, client coverage and revenue growth across regions.
  • Improve forecasting and visibility around renewals, expansion opportunities and revenue risk.
  • Develop relationships with senior stakeholders across key strategic accounts.
  • Work closely with Sales, Product and senior leadership to identify opportunities across the existing client base.
  • Identify opportunities to increase adoption across a multi-product portfolio.
  • Recruit, coach and develop Account Managers, building a high-performance commercial culture.
  • Provide senior leadership with insight into client trends, competitive activity and opportunities for further growth.

The Profile

  • Significant experience within financial data, research, analytics, market intelligence or financial technology.
  • Proven experience leading a sizeable Account Management, Client Success or Relationship Management function.
  • Experience managing teams across multiple regions or geographies.
  • Strong track record of retaining and growing recurring subscription revenue.
  • Demonstrable success driving renewals, cross-sell and upsell across an existing client base.
  • Experience working with asset managers, hedge funds, banks and other institutional financial clients.
  • Strong understanding of institutional financial markets and investment workflows.
  • Experience working across a multi-product offering would be highly advantageous.
  • Commercially driven with the ability to establish clear targets and hold teams accountable for performance.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience developing and scaling high-performing commercial teams.
