Role: Global Head of Business Development
As the Global Head of Business Development, you will own day-to-day leadership of our BDRs, drive pipeline generation, and help scale outbound and inbound prospecting operations. This role balances hands-on prospecting enablement with coaching, process optimization, and cross-functional alignment with Sales, Product Marketing, Demand Generation and RevOps.
Ideal Candidate
You are our Ideal Candidate, if
- You are a player-coach type of BDR manager with 7+ years in B2B sales or business development
- You have years of experience managing or coaching BDRs/SDRs (or equivalent team leadership).
- You have a proven track record of building pipelines through outbound and inbound prospecting programs.
- You are experienced with CRM and sales engagement platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, Gong, etc.)
- You excel in coaching, feedback, and performance management
- You are data-driven; comfortable working with metrics and running A/B tests.
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- You thrive in cross-functional collaboration and influence without direct authority. Working closely with the Head of Demand Generation
- You know SaaS, developer tools, mobile or cloud-native infrastructure.
- You are experienced running ABM or targeted outbound motions utilizing intent data
- You are familiar with revenue operations and marketing/sales alignment practices.
- You are experienced hiring and scaling BDR teams from 6 to 10+ and promoting BDRs

What would really knock our socks off
- Have worked in a tech or SaaS company previously
- Have experience pitching to software development teams
- Experience with sales engagement platforms (GongEngage/Outreach/Salesloft)
Responsibilities
As Head of Business Development at Bitrise, you will
- Own SDR/BDR KPIs: activity metrics, qualified meeting volume, pipeline influence, conversion rates.
- Lead, coach, and develop our BDRs: set targets, run 1:1s, deliver feedback, define career plans.
- Design and execute prospecting strategies across target segments (verticals, buyer personas.
- Create and iterate messaging, outreach sequences, and cadences
- Collaborate with RevOps and Account Executives to define qualification criteria and handoff processes.
- Use Salesforce and other sales engagement tools (e.g. HubSpot, Gong, etc.) to monitor performance and optimize funnel
- Run weekly stand-ups, pipeline reviews, and weekly/monthly performance reporting.
- Partner with Marketing on campaigns, content, and event follow-up to maximize conversion.
- Recruit and onboard new BDRs when needed; contribute to hiring and onboarding processes.
- Analyze outreach data, test hypotheses, and find the best ways to develop pipeline
- Foster a high-performance, collaborative culture focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence
