Antitrust, Competition & Regulatory Practice
Location: London or Washington
Carter Murray have partnered with a leading international Law Firm to recruit an exceptional Global Head of Business Development to drive the growth, market positioning and client development strategy for its globally recognised Antitrust, Competition & Trade practice.
Reporting to the global Chief BD Officer, you will act as a trusted advisor to partners, helping shape go-to-market strategies, identify new business opportunities and strengthen relationships with key clients across major international markets. You will also lead strategic marketing initiatives, thought leadership programmes, major pursuits and the adoption of AI-driven business development practices.

- Lead the global business development and marketing strategy for the practice.
- Manage and inspire an international BD team across Europe, North America and Asia.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to identify growth opportunities and strengthen client relationships.
- Lead high-value pitches, proposals, panel appointments and strategic pursuits.
- Drive thought leadership, events, sponsorships, rankings and profile-raising initiatives.
- Champion the use of AI and emerging technologies to enhance business development effectiveness and client engagement.
- Monitor market trends, regulatory developments and competitive activity to identify new opportunities.
- Utilise CRM, data and business intelligence tools to support decision-making and measure success.

About You
- Experience in business development, marketing or client relationship management within professional services.
- Significant leadership experience in an international, matrixed environment.
- Strong understanding of antitrust, competition, regulatory, litigation or related professional services sectors.
- Proven track record of designing and delivering successful global growth strategies.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, including experience working with senior partners and executives.
- Strong commercial mindset, strategic thinking and analytical capability.
- Experience leading cross-border teams and managing complex, multi-jurisdictional initiatives.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Passion for innovation, including the practical application of AI and technology within business development.
