Job Description

In this role for COS you are responsible to define the direction for Communications for the Brand and lead a team of experts to deliver on that ambitious strategy. With governance across all forms of communications, Corporate, PR, Partnerships, Collaborations and Events you will shape the Brand narrative, build credibility and ensure cohesive brand expression across global and local markets.

What you will do:

  • Strategy – Inform the total Marketing and Communications strategy by developing and securing the implementation of the global Communications strategy, driving reputation, credibility and desirability to support our growth.
  • Budget - Own and steer the full Communications budget. Measure, evaluate and optimize the effectiveness of all activities to ensure resources are maximized to achieve set goals.
  • PR Agency Procurement & Relations – Lead PR agency procurement and oversee global agency agreements and efficacy. Build, nurture and steward long terms partner relationships securing a network of trusted COS ambassadors
  • Collaboration and Governance – Closely collaborate with the regional organisations – providing strategic support and guidance to ensure a cohesive expression across the COS world. Secure the provision of frameworks and playbooks to support consistent market execution.
  • Corporate Communication – Nurture the expertise in your team to protect Brand reputation, secure a strong spokesperson strategy and to elevate the positioning of the Brand across fashion and business media. Secure the partnership with Group Communications connected to Group communications cadence and our responsibilities as a partner.
  • Leadership & Team Development – Lead and develop a high-performing team. Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to support individual growth and team success to reach set goals.

Who you’ll work with:

Reporting to the Marketing & Communications Director, you will work alongside colleagues across Group Communications and global and regional Marketing & Communications teams, as well as senior leaders across the business.

A key part of your role will be engaging with and further cultivating an extensive network of media, PR and industry contacts. Leveraging these relationships, you will drive earned media opportunities, enhance the brand's reputation and ensure our stories resonate with key audiences globally. You will also collaborate closely with external agency partners to deliver best-in-class communications strategies and campaigns.


Qualifications

  • Strategic PR & Communication – Deep understanding of how to develop and implement Communications strategies that contribute to increased brand awareness and positioning through PR, influencers, experiences and partnerships.
  • Industry Knowledge - Strong knowledge of the fashion and beauty media and influencer landscape, with the ability to navigate and leverage key relationships as well as adapting to media landscape.
  • Planning & Execution - Ability to plan and execute work in a structured and proactive manner, with capacity to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities effectively.
  • Flexibility & Problem Solving - Open-minded and adaptable in daily work. Comfortable navigating ambiguity and solving challenges in dynamic environments.
  • Communication & Collaboration - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Builds strong relationships internally and externally to drive results.
  • Brand representation – Strong commercial and creative sense, ensuring consistent and compelling brand storytelling.
  • Adaptability – Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
  • Leadership - Strong leadership skills with the ability to clearly communicate direction, motivate teams, and support the development of direct reports.

This is a full time permanent contract based at our Head Office in London.
