About The Role:
The Global Head of Data Solutions will lead our global data delivery function, ensuring the accurate, timely, and high-quality production of research data outputs. The role will be responsible for directly managing a global team of ~15 Data Analysts and combines hands-on delivery with client-facing engagement and championing the effective use and evolution of our proprietary technology platform.
This role is ideal for someone who has experience of delivering data outputs in the quantitative market research space and has a desire to challenge themselves in a scale-up organization. The successful candidate will be a critical contributor to making Walr’s data delivery more efficient and delighting clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Delivery
- Oversee delivery of all projects managed by the team, be the point of escalation for complex or technical projects, and own select projects that are deemed critical from a client and commercial perspective
- Ensure all deliverables (raw datasets, tabulations, and charts) are accurate, delivered on time, and aligned with client expectations
- Raise quality and efficiency across all aspects of the team’s work. Look at existing operations with a critical eye, design and implement improved ways of working, and inspire the team to deliver an exceptional service every time

Technical Expertise
- Apply advanced skills in SPSS, Excel, and other industry-standard tools to deliver robust data solutions
- Utilize scripting languages where appropriate to automate workflows, improve efficiency, and enhance output capabilities
- Identify and implement new technologies or methods to strengthen delivery
Client Engagement
- Act as the primary data contact for clients on large scale strategic engagements, providing clear, solutions-focused guidance
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and translate them into technical and platform-based solutions
- Confidently present data outputs and explain methodologies to stakeholders at all levels
Platform Leadership
- Serve as the global leader and expert user of our proprietary data platform, ensuring optimal use in project delivery
- Act as the primary stakeholder for the platform with Product and Engineering, feeding in client and operational requirements to shape future development
- Champion adoption, training, and effective use of the platform across the organization and with clients
Team & Process Development
- Lead by example in all areas of the role, and support and train the team to build technical capability and client service excellence
- Drive process improvements to increase efficiency and scalability
- Work closely with internal teams (Data Consultancy, Survey Programming, Product and Engineering) to ensure seamless delivery
Skills & Experience:
- Proven expertise in market research data delivery, with deep experience in raw data and tabulations
- Strong proficiency in SPSS and Excel; knowledge of additional tabulation or data processing tools is an advantage
- Experience with coding/scripting languages (e.g. Python) to optimize and automate workflows
- Proven ability to manage and lead a team of 10+ direct reports, together with the ability to soft influence teams and individuals that sit in other areas of the business
- Excellent client management: professional, reliable, and able to act as a trusted partner and advisor. A clear and proactive communication style that builds client confidence
- Excellent timeline and priority management: comfortable evaluating competing priorities and making trade-offs
- Attention to detail: naturally detail oriented and take pride in delivering high quality, error free deliverables to clients
- Welcomes a challenge: able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment where internal and external expectations are high
- Enjoys problem solving: leans into, rather than running away from, problems. Comfortable with independent issue resolution and root-cause analysis to prevent recurring issues
