Group Head of External Reporting
Location: London, UK
Description
Reporting to the Deputy Head of FP&A in London, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance professional to lead a niche high calibre 3 person team to drive the Group’s management reporting suite for 3 sets of stakeholders:
- The Board - Monthly Management Results
- Private Equity Shareholders – Equity Reporting
- Lenders – Lender reporting to debt covenants
Although the group has a good reporting foundation, the emphasis of this role is to lead the improved governance and control over reporting, improve the messaging and timeliness of delivery to our stakeholders, and to provide a more coherent response to queries by centralising responses to all sets of stakeholders.
Excellent communication skills are required as reviews are held with the c-suite within the organisation (CEO and Founder, CFO, COO, etc). The role will collaborate with the Group Head of FP&A, and with colleagues within FP&A (e.g. business partners), across functions (e.g. M&A team) and across the broader business (e.g. regional and country heads and finance leads).

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
