Mondrian Alpha Partnership Opportunity

Mondrian Alpha is partnering with a leading high-frequency trading firm on a newly created global hire. The firm is built on world-class engineering and quantitative research, and has grown significantly over the past decade. It is now expanding its presence across multiple global offices and is investing in the infrastructure needed to support that growth, including a more structured and globally consistent approach to how it develops its people.

In this role, you will set the direction and strategy for talent development globally and own the annual learning and development plan. Alongside the strategic remit, the role carries real operational responsibility, covering programme delivery, budgets, governance, compliance, and measurement. You'll work closely with the firm's internal Academy, which already runs several development programmes spanning onboarding, graduate and internship schemes, and technical training, and you'll partner with HR on the annual performance review process and sit on the firm's Training Committee. The expectation is that you bring coherence and consistency to what exists, extend it across geographies, and raise the overall standard of how the firm develops its people at every level.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
