The team acts as the voice of the market within Ratings, helping ensure that investor perspectives inform business priorities, analytical thought leadership, and commercial strategy.
As Global & Americas Head of Market Outreach, you will lead the global Market Outreach organization while maintaining direct accountability for the Americas region. You will oversee a geographically dispersed team responsible for engaging buy-side investors, asset owners, private market participants, and other influential stakeholders across public and private credit markets. This role combines leadership of the current Global Head of Market Outreach and Americas Head of Market Outreach mandates into a single strategic leadership position.

The role is instrumental in supporting strategic priorities across traditional fixed income, structured finance, private credit, fund finance, private markets, insurance, asset management, and other evolving capital market sectors.
A key objective is to generate actionable market intelligence that helps shape commercial strategy, supports analytical excellence, and informs executive decision-making across the organization. Success in this role requires the ability to operate with a global enterprise perspective, influence senior stakeholders internally and externally, lead through complexity and ambiguity, and represent S&P Global Ratings as a recognized market thought leader.
What's in it for you:
- Lead one of the most respected organizations in the credit markets industry.
- Build relationships with senior investors, asset owners, alternative investment firms, insurers, pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, advisors, and other influential market participants across the globe.
- Shape the future direction of Market Outreach, including expansion into strategic growth segments such as private credit, fund finance, asset owners, and private markets.
- Influence enterprise-level decisions through the delivery of strategic market intelligence and investor insights.
- Partner directly with senior leaders across Ratings, Commercial, Growth & Enablement (Product), Research, Marketing, and Corporate functions.
- Represent S&P Global Ratings at major industry conferences, executive forums, investor events, and market discussions.
- Lead and develop a high-performing global team while creating future leadership capability across the organization.
- Leverage data, technology, and AI-enabled capabilities to enhance market intelligence gathering, stakeholder engagement, and organizational impact.
Responsibilities:
- Define and execute a global Market Outreach strategy aligned to S&P Global Ratings' long-term business, analytical, and commercial priorities.
- Lead the global Market Outreach organization, including responsibility for talent strategy, team performance, succession planning, coaching, and organizational effectiveness.
- Maintain direct accountability for Market Outreach activities across the Americas region while ensuring consistent execution and strategic alignment across EMEA and APAC.
- Build and maintain senior-level relationships with influential investors, asset owners, insurers, pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, private credit managers, fund finance participants, asset managers, and other market stakeholders.
- Ensure S&P Global Ratings remains closely connected to evolving market trends, investor sentiment, emerging risks, and new areas of market opportunity.
- Generate and disseminate actionable investor insights that support analytical excellence, commercial growth, strategic planning, and executive decision-making.
- Partner closely with Analytical leadership, Commercial leadership, Growth & Enablement (Product), Marketing, Research, and other stakeholders to coordinate market engagement efforts and maximize enterprise impact.
- Serve as a senior representative and brand ambassador for S&P Global Ratings at conferences, executive forums, client meetings, and industry events.
- Drive thought leadership initiatives that enhance S&P Global Ratings' visibility, credibility, and influence within global capital markets.
- Leverage technology, AI, and data-driven approaches to strengthen market intelligence capabilities and improve organizational effectiveness.
- Establish appropriate KPIs and performance metrics to measure outreach effectiveness, strategic impact, and market engagement outcomes.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, inclusion, innovation, and continuous development across the global team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
