The Role
The Partnerships Retreats business provides senior asset management business development professionals with exclusive opportunities to connect, engage, and learn from leading institutional investors and consultants through highly curated networking experiences.
As the business continues to expand globally, we are seeking an experienced Global Head of New Business to lead our new business acquisition strategy and sales team.
Managing a team of three Business Development Managers (1 UK-based and 2 US-based), the successful candidate will be responsible for driving global membership growth, establishing sales excellence, ensuring comprehensive market coverage, and creating a high-performance culture focused on pipeline generation and conversion.
This is a player-manager role. Alongside leadership responsibilities, the successful candidate will maintain personal sales responsibility for strategic opportunities and key target accounts.
The role requires close collaboration across With Intelligence, particularly with Platform Sales, Account Management, Client Services, Marketing, Events, and Product teams to maximize growth opportunities and deliver a seamless customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Sales Management
- Lead, coach, and develop a global team of Business Development Managers.
- Create a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement.
- Establish and monitor KPIs, sales activity metrics, and performance standards.
- Conduct regular pipeline reviews, forecasting sessions, and deal strategy meetings.
- Ensure consistency in sales execution and best-practice adoption across all regions.
New Business Development
- Develop and execute global new business acquisition strategies.
- Drive membership growth across asset management firms globally.
- Ensure maximum penetration and coverage of the target universe.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities.
- Consistently deliver against individual and team revenue targets.
Individual Sales Responsibility
- Personally manage strategic opportunities and key target accounts.
- Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through negotiation and close.
- Engage senior stakeholders across business development, fundraising, and executive leadership functions.
Commercial Collaboration & Cross-Sell
- Build strong working relationships with With Intelligence Platform Sales teams globally.
- Drive referral generation and cross-sell opportunities across the wider business.
- Create processes that encourage collaboration and opportunity sharing between teams.
- Work closely with Marketing, Events, and Content teams to maximize lead generation.
- Partner with Client Services and Account Management teams to ensure smooth onboarding and client transitions.
Client Handover
- Ensure all new members are effectively transitioned to the Account Management team following contract completion.
- Support a seamless onboarding process that sets clients up for long-term success.
- Maintain clear ownership boundaries between new business acquisition and ongoing account management.
Data & Market Intelligence
- Utilize With Intelligence proprietary data and S&P intelligence to drive prospecting and account prioritization.
- Develop data-led targeting strategies based on fundraising activity, investor engagement, and market developments.
- Ensure the sales team fully leverages available data assets to maximize prospecting efficiency and conversion rates.
- Provide market feedback and commercial insight to support future growth initiatives.

Pipeline Management & Forecasting
- Maintain accurate pipeline management and forecasting through Salesforce.
- Monitor sales velocity, conversion rates, and opportunity progression.
- Ensure CRM data quality and sales process compliance.
- Deliver regular reporting on performance against targets and business objectives.
Requirements
Essential
- 8+ years' experience in B2B new business sales.
- Demonstrated success leading high-performing sales teams.
- Proven track record of exceeding revenue targets.
- Strong consultative sales experience with senior decision-makers.
- Experience managing complex sales cycles.
- Strong forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM expertise.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership skills.
- Experience using data and market intelligence to drive sales strategy.
- Willingness to travel internationally.
Desirable
- Asset management, alternatives, or institutional investment industry experience.
- Experience selling memberships, events, communities, or subscription-based solutions.
- Knowledge of fundraising and institutional investor engagement.
- Experience within PE-backed, high-growth organizations.
- Existing network within asset management and institutional fundraising markets.
