Who is the company and context?
An international private equity-backed software business is seeking a Global Head of Presales to transform and scale its presales function. The organisation provides market-leading financial performance management and Office of the CFO solutions, helping finance teams streamline planning, reporting, consolidation, and financial close processes.
This is a newly created leadership opportunity focused on professionalising the presales organisation, improving commercial effectiveness, and supporting ambitious growth plans across international markets.
What will I be doing?
- Lead the development and transformation of the global presales function.
- Shift presales from reactive product demonstrations to proactive commercial engagement.
- Partner with sales leadership to improve win rates across complex enterprise opportunities.
- Drive stronger solution positioning and value-based storytelling.
- Reduce sales cycle length and increase deal values through improved customer engagement.
- Establish a scalable presales operating model and best-practice methodologies.
- Define clear responsibilities and engagement models between Presales, Business Development, and Account Executive teams.
- Improve qualification standards and technical validation processes.
- Introduce meaningful KPIs aligned to revenue and conversion performance.
- Recruit, coach, and develop a high-performing global team.
- Engage with senior finance leaders and executive stakeholders throughout the sales process.

What kind of skills and background will I need to have?
- 7+ years of experience within SaaS presales, solutions consulting, or sales engineering.
- Proven track record of leading, building, or transforming a presales organisation.
- Experience supporting complex enterprise software sales cycles.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development capabilities.
- Ability to blend technical expertise with commercial acumen.
- Experience presenting to and influencing executive stakeholders.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to implement scalable processes and frameworks.
- Background within Financial Systems, ERP, EPM, FP&A, Financial Close, Consolidation, or related software markets would be highly advantageous.
