Global Head of Regulatory Strategy
Location: London (Hybrid)
Help shape the future of institutional payments and digital assets. We're partnering with a high-growth, international fintech to appoint a Global Head of Regulatory Strategy at a pivotal stage in the company's expansion.
Operating at the forefront of institutional payments, digital assets and financial infrastructure, the business is scaling rapidly across multiple jurisdictions and continues to invest heavily in its regulatory capability as it expands into new markets.
This is a rare opportunity to join the senior leadership team and play a defining role in shaping the firm's regulatory strategy, engaging directly with global regulators and influencing the future direction of a business operating at the cutting edge of financial services.
The Opportunity
As Director of Regulatory Strategy, you'll be responsible for developing and executing the firm's global regulatory strategy, ensuring the business remains ahead of an evolving regulatory landscape while enabling sustainable commercial growth.
- Work closely with Executive Leadership, Legal, Compliance, Product, Risk, and Government Affairs, acting as the bridge between commercial innovation and regulatory expectations.
- This role combines strategic thinking, regulatory expertise, and executive stakeholder management in a fast-paced, international environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the firm's global regulatory strategy across payments and digital assets.
- Develop regulatory engagement strategies with UK and international regulators.
- Horizon scan emerging regulation and assess its commercial and operational impact.
- Advise the Executive Committee and Board on regulatory developments and strategic implications.
- Support regulatory licensing, authorisation, and market expansion initiatives.
- Build trusted relationships with regulators, industry bodies, and external stakeholders.
- Partner with Product, Legal, Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure new products are designed with regulatory expectations in mind.
- Represent the business at industry forums, regulatory consultations, and external events.
- Drive thought leadership on the future of payments, digital assets, and financial regulation.
- Support the ongoing development of governance frameworks and regulatory operating models.
About You
You'll be a recognised regulatory leader with experience navigating complex regulatory environments and influencing senior stakeholders.
You'll likely bring:

- Significant experience within financial services regulation, public policy, or regulatory strategy.
- Strong understanding of UK and international payments regulation.
- Exposure to digital assets, crypto, stablecoins, blockchain, or broader financial market infrastructure.
- Experience engaging directly with regulators such as the FCA, Bank of England, PRA, or international regulatory authorities.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance innovation and regulatory expectations.
- Outstanding stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
- Experience leading cross-functional strategic initiatives within a regulated business.
