About the job
The Commercial Sales Team is hiring a Global Head of Sales – Communications, Energy & Utilities who will be responsible for driving the achievement of our strategic corporate and business unit objectives through the implementation of sales and marketing strategy for the Telco, Energy & Utilities verticals.
Reporting to SVP Commercial Sales, you will build and lead a high performing global sales team spread across EMEA, LATAM, APAC and North America and existing of experienced Managers and Account Executives. Together with your team, you will build key client relationships at the executive level, shape their Data & AI strategies and modernize their solutions. This position offers an opportunity for an experienced sales leader to drive successful outcomes and make a lasting impact by turning complex challenges into meaningful solutions.
The role will be in one of our Northern America or European offices (UK - London, Spain - Madrid) and will require travel as per business needs.
As a Global Head of Sales – Communications, Energy & Utilities, you will
- Take a hands-on approach to building, supporting and leading a global team.
- Be responsible for the achievement of total software revenue target and management business objectives.
- Plan and implement growth plans for software, consulting services, and education services.
- Direct management of sales and sales support activities for staff members to implement growth plans and sales activities.
- Develop and implement marketing, sales, and business development plans to exceed target levels.
- Generate new business through strategic-based selling and managing relationships with key customers.
- Be responsible for communication with sales management team to coordinate account strategies.
- Be responsible for hiring, directing and evaluating staff.
- Work in conjunction with the Strategic Pricing Group to negotiate contracts and bids.
- Be responsible for timely and accurate forecasting of software, consulting services, and education services.

Required qualifications
Typically requires 15+ years of experience in software sales, including time in a global leadership role. Demonstrated experience in successfully achieving a sales target.
- Extensive demonstrated hands-on experience, leading Sales teams for a software company, across regions.
- Experience in addressing the industry and in defining a strong GTM strategy.
- Demonstrated management and coaching skills in a sales organization.
- Proven track record of negotiation at C-level, sought by customer executives as a trusted advisor to solve complex business problems.
- Ability to manage, negotiate, and close multiple complex sales opportunities that may be international.
- Capacity to make corporate strategy your own through measured and efficient localization.
- Experience in areas like Customer Engagement, Data & AI Productivity and Decisioning, Risk Management, Revenue Assurance, Supply Chain Analytics or Cloud Optimization preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
