Focus on WD is partnering with a global enterprise organisation who are looking for an exceptional Global Head of Workday to take full ownership of the Workday product across both BAU and project delivery.

This is a senior, hands-on leadership role where you'll own the performance, direction and evolution of the Workday platform — spanning HCM, architecture, integrations, data, security and delivery.

You'll work across HR, Finance, Payroll, Technology, global Workday teams and implementation partners, driving strong governance while ensuring the organisation gets maximum value from its global Workday investment.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Workday leader to take real ownership of a critical enterprise platform, influence senior stakeholders and shape the future direction of Workday within a global organisation.

Job Title: Global Head of Workday

Location: London – x3 days per week onsite

Contract: Initial 12 Month FTC

Salary: Up to £120,000 per annum plus bonus and benefits

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Own the Workday Product suite across the organisation, covering both BAU operations and project delivery.
  • Lead and bring together functional, architecture, integration, data and security teams.
  • Define the Workday technology roadmap and drive continuous improvement across the platform.
  • Provide senior leadership on complex Workday design, product and architecture decisions.
  • Ensure the Workday platform remains aligned with global standards, business priorities and long-term strategy.
  • Oversee integrations and data, ensuring a robust, scalable and well-governed platform.
  • Drive technology readiness across testing, cutover and go-live for major Workday projects.
  • Lead a high-performing team of Workday specialists and delivery partners.
  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across HR, Finance, Payroll and Technology.
  • Manage risks, dependencies and escalations while maintaining clear ownership and accountability.
  • Ensure BAU and project teams operate as one joined-up Workday function with a clear focus on service, delivery and value.

What We're Looking For:

  • Significant experience leading enterprise-scale Workday implementations, product functions or transformation programmes.
  • Strong knowledge across the Workday HCM product suite, with the ability to shape how Workday supports complex global organisations and evolving business needs.
  • Proven leadership experience across Workday teams, implementation partners and multiple delivery streams.
  • Strong programme governance, risk management and delivery experience, with the confidence to provide direction at senior level.
  • Experience operating within an established global Workday platform, balancing global standards with genuine business requirements.
  • Broad understanding of Workday integrations, security, data migration and the wider enterprise technology landscape.
  • Experience managing global systems integrators and offshore/onshore delivery models.
  • The ability to act as the senior Workday authority, challenging requirements, influencing stakeholders and driving difficult decisions through to resolution.
  • Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex Workday challenges into clear business outcomes.
  • A strategic leader who remains close to the detail and brings a hands-on approach to platform ownership, delivery and continuous improvement.
