Job Description
Working in the Global Health and Safety function, this post will develop and maintain systems and processes required for the provision, collection and collation of key health and safety information and produce management information to enable effective decision making at Executive and Board level. This role will lead the governance of the H&S System, Gensuite and ensure the efficacy of data held within it.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior regional leadership to integrate performance and reporting protocols into regional governance
- Participates in sales and solutioning through provision of H&S data to support RFI/RFP, commercial contracts and other business development activities to win, keep and grow the business
- Provide leadership, advice and guidance to managers on health and safety performance management issues, and in the process, provide assurance that T&T is effectively monitoring its performance including through the development and maintenance of appropriate metrics
- Ensure accidents, incidents, and near-misses are reported and investigated, ensuring that root causes are identified and corrective actions are implemented
- Develop and oversee incident reporting systems and ensure the lessons learned are shared across the organization
- Ensure full compliance with local, national, and international health and safety reporting requirements
- Develop and maintain a set of health and safety performance analysis tools, policies, processes and procedures which enhance T&T project implementation to achieve statutory health and safety requirements, while contributing to improving engagement at all levels and resulting in accident prevention and reduction and the prevention of occupational related ill health across the business
- Overall responsibility for the T&T Incident Reporting system, configuration and enhancements for the whole of T&T business
- Provides direct and timely counsel and information to management on H&S trends, performance or concerns
- Take responsibility for all health and safety business reporting requirements including Executive and Board health and safety reports
- Oversee statistical analysis of incidents and accidents across T&T and report such information including to the T&T Board

Qualifications
- Certification from an Occupational Safety & Health accreditation body (ex. NEBOSH, BCSP)
- Minimum 10+ years in senior health and safety reporting position, preferably within construction, heavy industrial, infrastructure, refining environments and/or manufacturing
- Clear understanding and articulation of a H&S Management System and experience of contributing key procedures that form part of this system
- Demonstrated experience of H&S system administration and the various elements of a system such as reporting, audit, observation etc
- Knowledge of Reporting of Injuries Diseases and Dangerous Occurrence Regulations (RIDDOR)
- Knowledge of OSHA standards
- Knowledge of designing and managing performance management methods such as Balanced Scorecards
