Overview
The Global Implementation Manager is responsible for managing the implementation of global logistics solutions for key customers. This role ensures seamless onboarding of new business, process standardization, and operational excellence across regions.
The Global Implementation Manager will work closely with internal stakeholders, including sales, operations, IT, and account management, to design scalable and efficient solutions that meet customer requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end implementation of global customer accounts to ensure smooth transitions from sales to operations while retaining and strengthening customer relationships
- Responsible for routine account servicing, including account setup, activation services, and compliance management
- Develop and maintain implementation documentation, including:
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Process flows
- Training materials
- Create and oversee detailed implementation plans, including:
- Timelines
- Milestones
- Risk management strategies
- Manage essential customer account data and contact information for future business outreach
- Develop client retention and growth strategies tailored for profitable business with assigned accounts
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, IT, Finance, Compliance) to ensure all go-live requirements are met
- Conduct training sessions for both internal teams and customers on new processes and technology platforms
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure implementation success and drive continuous improvement
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers during the implementation phase, ensuring alignment on expectations and deliverables
- Align regional/local operations teams to ensure practical, executable solutions
- Lead implementation governance forums to guarantee proper decision-making, accountability, and communication
- Analyze customer requirements and operational challenges to design customized logistics solutions
- Collaborate with IT and process automation teams to optimize technology integrations, including:
- Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)
- API connectivity
- Visibility tools
- Reporting solutions
- Develop standardized implementation frameworks adaptable to different customers and regions
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance:
- Efficiency
- Cost-effectiveness
- Scalability
- Maintain strong relationships with key global account managers for long-term partnerships
- Provide regular status updates to senior management, covering:
- Project progress
- Risks
- Mitigation strategies
- Serve as the primary global point of contact for clients during implementation, ensuring:
- Professional service
- Consultative support
- Responsive experience
- Manage client expectations with clarity on:
- Timelines
- Deliverables
- Responsibilities
- Lead executive-level updates and support management activities as required

Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in:
- Logistics
- Freight forwarding
- Supply chain management
- Solution design and implementation
- Customer-facing experience (internal & external)
- Fluent oral and written English is mandatory
- Ability to understand and apply:
- Performance Metrics
- Milestone tracking
- KPIs
- Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Advanced proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, including:
- Agile
- Waterfall
- Microsoft Project
- Miro
- Visio
- Smartsheet
- Ability to:
- Simplify complexity
- Translate technical requirements into actionable design elements
- Knowledge of logistics platforms, such as:
- CargoWise
- Infor Nexus
- Strong presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders
- Capability to recognize, analyze, and solve problems efficiently
- Experience with:
- Change management
- Process improvement initiatives
- Awareness of:
- EDI/API integration
- Transport Management Systems (TMS)
- Project management skills, including certifications such as:
- PMP (Project Management Professional)
- Agile certification
- Lean Six Sigma
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment with competing priorities
