MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in personnel security, insider threat programs, counterintelligence, or behavioral risk investigations (including cybersecurity equivalents).
  • 5 years of experience in people management leading cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with U.S., UK, or Canadian Federal/Intelligence Community insider threat investigation methods, frameworks (e.g., NITTF standards), and legal frameworks surrounding user monitoring and privacy.
  • Experience with NISPOM compliance, SEAD 3 reporting, continuous evaluation trigger resolution, or managing collateral clearance (e.g., Top Secret) lifecycles.
  • Must possess an active Top Secret security clearance or region equivalent for UK and Canada.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience directing insider threat programs or leading technical teams within prominent intelligence or defense agencies.
  • Experience managing security operations within cloud-native environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage technical expertise to drive accountability and enhance processes within established teams.
  • Proven track record of operating with positional authority to implement significant structural or procedural changes.

ABOUT THE JOB:

As a Technical Solutions Consultant, you will be responsible for the technical relationship of our largest advertising clients and/or product partners. You will lead cross-functional teams in Engineering, Sales and Product Management to leverage emerging technologies for our external clients/partners. From concept design and testing to data analysis and support, you will oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's online advertising platforms and/or product partnerships.

You will be able to balance business and partner needs with technical constraints, develop innovative, cutting edge solutions and act as a partner and consultant to those you are working with. You will also be able to build tools and automate products, oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's partnerships, as well as develop product strategy and prioritize projects and resources.

In this role, you will lead a high-performing, global team of specialized investigators and system developers. You will sit at the intersection of corporate security, federal compliance, and data analytics, translating complex risk matrices into actionable developing and behavioral detection mechanisms. You will lead a personnel security program and oversee the execution of the end-to-end clearance management process and will serve as the Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) and primary subject matter expert for internal tracking and Security Information Management System (SIMS). You will interface with customers, maintain databases, and document security actions. This is a people-management role requiring exceptional technical depth, tactical investigator instincts, and the executive presence to brief C-suite leadership and government stakeholders.

Canada: $198000 - $202000 (CAD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits
US: $183000 - $265000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Hire, mentor, and lead a geographically dispersed team of multi-disciplinary security professionals, insider threat analysts, technical investigators, and developers.
  • Own the end-to-end strategy for Google’s global insider threat detection, personnel security vetting, and behavioral risk monitoring frameworks. Oversee complex, highly sensitive technical investigations using advanced user behavioral analytics (UBA), forensics, and data-driven methods.
  • Partner with Google Legal, People Operations (HR), Trust and Safety, and Core Developing to ensure risk mitigation balances employee privacy with asset protection.
  • Serve as the primary security liaison for government-facing programs, ensuring strict adherence to federal personnel security and insider threat standards.
  • Execute the end-to-end security clearance process for all cleared Google Public Sector personnel. Interface with the sponsoring United States Government (USG) customer to ensure compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs).
