Overview
We are seeking a culturally fluent, strategically rigorous Influencer Strategy Director to join our global influencer leadership team. This role sits at the heart of elevating the quality, effectiveness, and strategic impact of social and influencer work across our agencies, spanning social, influence, culture, and connected media.
The ideal candidate will act as a strategic guardian and subject matter expert, shaping creator-led strategies that drive: ✔ Relevance and differentiation ✔ Measurable ROI for clients ✔ Future-ready influence strategies
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Execution
- Lead best-in-class social and influencer strategy, aligning with broader brand and communications frameworks.
- Bridge gaps between brand strategy, creative ambition, and influencer execution—acting as a strategic guardian.
- Set global standards for excellence while elevating quality and impact of social/influencer work.
- Partner with markets to upskill strategic teams and push outputs to be braver, sharper, and culturally relevant.

Creator Economy Expertise
- Serve as a deep subject matter expert in creators, living the creator economy, and platform formats.
- Navigate connected media ecosystems, articulating how creator strategies drive ROI and business growth.
Industry Insight & Innovation
- Anticipate cultural, platform, and behavioural shifts to future-proof social/influencer strategies.
- Drive influencer strategy in new business pitches, crafting compelling creator-led growth narratives.
- Advise clients on cultural positioning, social behaviour, and influencer effectiveness with trusted senior counsel.
Thought Leadership
- Contribute to internal and external thought leadership, positioning Publicis Media as a leader in influence and culture.
Qualifications & Requirements
Core Experience & Skills
- 10+ years of proven experience in:
- Influencer marketing
- Social strategy
- Cultural consultancy (preferably within agency or brand environments)
- Ability to thrive in matrixed organizations, managing teams with indirect influence.
- Deep understanding of:
- Internet culture, Gen Z behaviours, and global/subsocial landscapes.
- Platform dynamics (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.) and influencer ecosystems.
Attitude & Mindset
- Strategic, high-level thinker who translates cultural insight to measurable brand impact.
- Strong storytelling and presentation skills, with executive-grade client credibility.
- Adaptability in fast-paced environments with evolving cultural landscapes.
