What you’ll do
The Global Technical & Service Sales Senior Manager is a Group-level leader accountable for enabling Vodafone IoT’s global sales performance through ownership of the pre and post-opportunity lifecycle, from qualification and solution design through service sales, delivery execution and structured handover into Customer Success, while building a high-performing, engaged and future-ready global Technical Sales organisation.
The role leads a single global Technical Sales organisation, integrating IoT Pre-Sales, Solution Architecture and Service Sales to drive high-quality qualification, first-time-right solution design, service sales execution, delivery governance and seamless handover into Customer Success - directly supporting win rates, deal velocity, margin protection, forecast accuracy and sustainable revenue growth.
The role acts as the primary enterprise interface between Sales and Product & Technology, ensuring that customer insights, solution performance, delivery data and Customer Success feedback systematically shape product strategy, platform evolution, investment priorities and demand forecasting. This is critical to maintaining Vodafone IoT’s competitive differentiation and ability to scale profitably.
Operating with enterprise level authority, the Global Technical & Service Sales Senior Manager ensures strong alignment across Vodafone OpCos, Partner Markets and Resellers, driving global consistency in solution design, service sales engagement, delivery execution and customer handover, while managing material operational, customer and reputational risk across complex, multi market IoT programmes.
Responsibilities
- Global leadership: Lead the global IoT Technical Sales organisation, setting clear standards, governance and performance measures.
- Solution design: Own qualification and solution architecture to improve win rates, quality, speed and delivery confidence.
- Delivery governance: Oversee complex multi-market delivery, ensuring strong risk management, escalation and first-time-right execution.
- Service Sales interface: Lead Service Sales within Technical Sales and ensure clear definition, design and implementation of customer requirements ahead of the handover to operations and customer success.
- Cross-functional alignment: Align OpCos, partners, Product, Technology and Customer Success around consistent standards and customer-led priorities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
