Global Maintenance Head

Your Manager: Global VP, Operational Excellence & Engineering

Team: Global Engineering

Location: Greater Glasgow or Elgin, UK or Dublin, Ireland

Contract Type: Permanent

Travel requirement: Initial 6 months - circa 50%, then ongoing circa 20% of working time

Pernod Ricard’s Gold Brand Unit is the Group’s Aged Spirits & Champagne division, bringing together the prestigious portfolios of Irish Distillers, Chivas Brothers, Martell Mumm Perrier- Jouët and North American Distillers. With a global team operating across 40 sites and brands spanning Irish, Scotch and American Whisk(e)y, Cognac, Champagne and wine, the division unites exceptional craftsmanship and deep expertise across iconic terroirs in Ireland, Scotland, France and North America. Its portfolio, rooted in heritage and provenance, embodies Pernod Ricard’s commitment to excellence from Premium to Ultra-Prestige, delivering some of the world’s most celebrated and enduring spirits and champagnes.

About the role

We are now hiring a Global Maintenance Head to be responsible for defining and deploying maintenance strategies, policies, and standards across all manufacturing sites.

This is a unique opportunity to help shape and strengthen maintenance capability across the Group. Working collaboratively with regional and site teams, you will support the sharing of expertise, continuous improvement and the development of consistent maintenance practices. Success in this role will depend on your ability to influence, support and connect people across different sites, cultures and disciplines, creating an environment where knowledge, expertise and best practice can be shared openly.

What you will do

  • Collaborate with sites and regional teams to develop and implement global maintenance standards and ways of working.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business to support the successful adoption and continuous improvement of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) across all sites.
  • Develop and maintain a global maintenance performance dashboard.
  • Benchmark internal and external maintenance practices.
  • Facilitate the sharing of successful maintenance practices and learning across regions.
  • Develop and nurture a global community of maintenance professionals, encouraging collaboration, knowledge sharing and mutual support.
  • Design and roll out capability development programs.
  • Provide strategic guidance and coaching to regional and site teams.
  • Support sites on local practices with global alignment.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and reliability.
  • Conduct annual maintenance maturity assessments.

Your skills and background

  • Have worked in a similar role, with experience helping organisations improve maintenance strategy, systems and ways of working, including CMMS implementation and optimization.
  • Are experienced in reliability engineering and predictive maintenance.
  • Have strong Project Management and Change management skills.
  • Have experience leading, coaching and developing people, helping teams grow their capability and achieve their potential.
  • Are skilled at building trusted relationships and bringing people together across different teams, functions and locations.
