Role Overview
The Global Marketing Director will lead Métier's global marketing function, defining and driving the strategy that will shape the next phase of the brand's growth.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for translating Métier's brand ambition into a clear, distinctive and commercially meaningful global marketing strategy. Working closely with the Creative Director and senior leadership team, the Global Marketing Director will define how Métier builds desirability, deepens relationships with its community and expands its presence across key international markets.
The role will oversee the full marketing ecosystem, spanning brand strategy, campaigns, communications, partnerships, events, retail experiences, customer engagement and performance. The Global Marketing Director will ensure that every expression of the brand is cohesive, considered and consistent with Métier's positioning, while identifying new opportunities to increase awareness, reach and commercial growth.
As a senior leader within the business, the role will bring together creative instinct, cultural understanding and commercial rigour, balancing long-term brand equity with the opportunities and priorities of a growing global business.
Key Responsibilities
Global Brand & Marketing Strategy
- Define and lead Métier's global marketing strategy, aligned with the brand's long-term vision, commercial objectives and international growth ambitions.
- Establish clear marketing priorities across markets, channels and customer touchpoints, creating a cohesive global framework for the brand.
- Shape the annual global marketing calendar, balancing seasonal campaigns, product launches, brand initiatives, cultural moments and commercial priorities.
- Evolve Métier's positioning and marketing approach as the brand grows, ensuring continued relevance while protecting its distinctive identity and desirability.
- Develop strategies that strengthen brand awareness, customer consideration, acquisition and retention across existing and emerging markets.
- Identify emerging cultural, consumer and market trends and translate relevant opportunities into meaningful brand initiatives.
- Act as a senior brand guardian, ensuring that all marketing activity reflects Métier's creative standards, values and point of view.
Global Campaigns & Brand Expression
- Set the strategic direction for global campaigns, launches and major brand moments, working closely with the Founder, Brand team and wider leadership team.
- Ensure a consistent and elevated expression of the brand across all customer touchpoints, including digital, retail, events, communications, partnerships and content.
- Establish clear briefs and objectives for campaigns and creative initiatives, ensuring activity is both creatively distinctive and commercially purposeful.
- Oversee the development of integrated campaigns across relevant paid, earned and owned channels.
- Ensure global campaigns can be effectively adapted to different markets and customer audiences while maintaining a consistent Métier identity.
- Drive continued evolution of Métier's storytelling, ensuring the brand has a distinctive voice within the luxury landscape.

International Growth & Customer Development
- Develop marketing strategies that support Métier's growth across priority international markets, with particular focus on deepening the brand's presence in the UK and US and identifying future opportunities for expansion.
- Develop a sophisticated understanding of Métier's customer and prospective customer, using cultural insight, customer behaviour and commercial data to inform marketing priorities.
- Partner closely with Retail, E-commerce and Private Client partners to create a connected customer journey across physical and digital touchpoints.
- Develop initiatives that strengthen customer acquisition, engagement, loyalty and lifetime value while remaining consistent with Métier's luxury positioning.
- Identify opportunities to expand Métier's reach and relevance among high-value and culturally influential audiences.
- Use customer and market insight to inform the development of campaigns, partnerships, content and experiences.
Communications, Culture & Partnerships
- Set the strategic direction for Métier's global PR, communications, influencer, talent, affiliate and partnership activity.
- Build and maintain senior relationships across media, talent, cultural institutions, creators and strategic partners, acting as a senior ambassador for the brand.
- Develop a global partnership strategy across fashion, travel, lifestyle, design, arts and culture, ensuring partnerships build meaningful brand equity and reach relevant audiences.
- Oversee communications around key launches, campaigns and brand moments, ensuring a consistent and compelling brand narrative.
- Identify cultural opportunities that can strengthen Métier's relevance and position the brand within the wider luxury and cultural landscape.
- Ensure influencer, affiliate and talent activity contributes to both brand building and measurable commercial growth.
Events, Retail & Brand Experience
- Define the strategic role of events, retail experiences and activations within the wider global marketing strategy.
- Set the vision for key brand, client and cultural events, ensuring they build relationships, deepen desirability and support broader business objectives.
- Partner with Retail to develop a consistent global approach to client experience and brand activation.
- Identify opportunities to use Métier's stores, events and physical environments as meaningful expressions of the brand.
- Ensure key activations are integrated into the wider marketing calendar and supported by appropriate communications and customer engagement.
Commercial Performance & Investment
- Own the global marketing budget, determining investment priorities and ensuring spend is aligned with strategic and commercial objectives.
- Establish clear KPIs and measurement frameworks across brand and marketing activity.
- Balance long-term brand building with measurable commercial performance, using data and insight to inform investment and decision-making.
- Partner closely with E-commerce, Commercial and Finance to understand the impact of marketing activity on revenue, customer acquisition, retention and broader business performance.
- Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of marketing channels, campaigns and partnerships and reallocate investment where appropriate.
- Develop a culture of continuous learning, using performance data and market insight to refine the global marketing strategy.

Leadership & Organisation
- Lead and develop the marketing function, establishing clear priorities, responsibilities and ways of working as the business grows.
- Build and manage a high-performing team across relevant areas of marketing, communications and brand.
- Provide clear direction and mentorship while fostering a collaborative, entrepreneurial and creatively ambitious culture.
- Lead and manage external agencies, consultants and strategic partners.
- Work closely with the Founder and senior leadership team to ensure marketing plans are fully integrated into and reflective of the wider business strategy.
- Represent the marketing function at senior leadership level, bringing a clear point of view on brand, customer, culture and growth.
Role Requirements
- 10+ years' experience in senior marketing, brand, communications or related leadership roles, ideally within the luxury category.
- Proven experience developing and leading global or international marketing strategies for a luxury or premium brand.
- A strong track record of building brand desirability while delivering measurable commercial growth.
- Deep understanding of the luxury landscape, with an instinctive feel for brand positioning, cultural relevance, customer behaviour and the evolving expectations of luxury consumers.
- Proven experience leading integrated campaigns across brand, communications, digital, retail, events, partnerships and customer engagement.
- Strong commercial acumen, with experience managing significant marketing budgets and using performance data and customer insight to inform investment decisions.
- Experience developing and managing senior relationships across media, talent, influencers, cultural partners, agencies and other external stakeholders.
- Proven experience building, leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Exceptional strategic thinking and the ability to move comfortably between long-term vision and practical execution.
- A sophisticated creative eye and strong understanding of luxury brand expression and storytelling.
- Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence at senior leadership and Founder level.
- Highly collaborative, entrepreneurial and proactive, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving and evolving business.
