The Global Marketing Director is responsible for defining and executing the global marketing strategy to accelerate sustainable revenue growth, strengthen market position, and maximise customer lifetime value across all global operating regions.

The role sits within the Executive Leadership Team as this role provides strategic leadership across brand, demand generation, product marketing, customer acquisition, customer retention, and marketing operations. The role is accountable for marketing's contribution to commercial performance through qualified pipeline generation, revenue growth, customer engagement, and brand advocacy.

Working in close partnership with Sales, Solution Line (Product) leaders, and Performance Enablement, the Global Director of Marketing will build a high-performing global marketing function that combines commercial excellence, customer insight, data-driven decision making, and AI-enabled innovation.

This is a highly strategic leadership role requiring an experienced commercial marketer who can align global and regional marketing activity, inspire high-performing teams, and position marketing as a key driver of business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and deliver the global marketing strategy in alignment with the company's growth objectives and long-term commercial strategy.
  • Represent the marketing function at Executive Leadership Team level, providing strategic insight to business decisions while safeguarding the company's brand and reputation.
  • Develop and maintain a high-performing global marketing organisation, fostering accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Build scalable regional marketing capability that balances global consistency with local market relevance and cultural understanding.
  • Champion the responsible adoption of AI and automation across the marketing function to improve customer experience, campaign effectiveness, operational efficiency, and decision making.

Revenue Growth & Demand Generation

  • Share accountability with Sales and Solution Line leaders for revenue growth, pipeline generation, customer acquisition, and customer retention.
  • Lead global demand generation strategies across inbound, outbound, account-based marketing (ABM), partner marketing, and digital channels.
  • Drive measurable improvements in marketing-sourced and marketing-influenced pipeline, conversion rates, and revenue contribution.
  • Ensure marketing investment is prioritised based on commercial return, market opportunity, and business objectives.
  • Develop integrated global campaigns that generate qualified demand while strengthening customer engagement throughout the buying journey.

Product Marketing & Go-to-Market

  • Lead the global product marketing function, ensuring compelling positioning, messaging, competitive differentiation, sales enablement, and successful go-to-market execution across all Solution Lines, including Learning Services, Performance Enablement, and Learning Technologies.
  • Work closely with Product and Sales leaders to identify market opportunities, customer needs, and competitive positioning.
  • Lead product launches and commercialisation strategies to maximise market adoption and customer value.
  • Strengthen thought leadership and external communications to reinforce the company's reputation as a global learning and performance partner.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
