The Opportunity
Almac Sciences provides a broad range of scientific services to pharmaceutical and biotechnology organisations across the drug development lifecycle. Our capabilities include small molecule active pharmaceutical ingredient development and manufacturing, peptide services, analytical services and a range of related scientific solutions.
We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced Global Marketing Manager to join Almac Sciences at our Craigavon headquarters.
Reporting to the Vice President of Business Development, you will lead the development and delivery of commercially focused global marketing plans that support business growth, customer engagement and sales effectiveness. Working closely with Business Development, senior Business Leaders, technical specialists, Group Marketing and external agencies, you will help strengthen market awareness of Almac Sciences and clearly communicate the value of our scientific expertise to customers around the world.
This is a highly collaborative and commercially focused role. You will translate complex scientific capabilities into clear and compelling customer propositions, create targeted campaigns, support lead generation and opportunity conversion, and provide Business Development teams with the insight and materials they need to engage customers effectively.
You will also have responsibility for managing and developing a Marketing Associate, providing structured coaching, guidance and opportunities to build their confidence, marketing expertise and commercial understanding.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Develop, own and deliver the Almac Sciences global marketing plan, ensuring activity is aligned with business priorities and growth opportunities
- Build a strong understanding of our services, customer segments, target markets, competitors and the factors influencing pharmaceutical and biotechnology outsourcing decisions
- Lead the Almac Sciences brand strategy and create consistent, customer-focused messaging across services, territories and marketing channels
- Translate complex scientific and technical information into clear value propositions, campaigns and practical sales enablement resources
- Work with technical specialists and commercial leaders to position and launch new or expanded services
- Produce and maintain high-quality marketing content, including articles, case studies, fact sheets, infographics, presentations, videos, webinars, blogs and campaign toolkits
- Coordinate digital marketing and inside sales activity to support lead generation, account targeting and customer prospecting
- Oversee website activity, paid search advertising, LinkedIn promotions and targeted customer outreach campaigns
- Support the planning and delivery of trade shows, conferences and other industry events
- Use Salesforce, HubSpot and other available data to measure campaign performance, lead quality, opportunity conversion, event return on investment and pipeline value influenced
- Research customer needs, buying behaviours, market developments and competitor positioning to identify potential growth opportunities
- Translate market intelligence into practical recommendations and actions for Business Development teams
- Manage marketing budgets, campaign schedules and third-party agencies
- Collaborate with Corporate Marketing to maintain a consistent approach across the Almac Group brand
- Manage, coach and support the Marketing Associate, helping them develop their marketing, commercial and industry knowledge

What You Need To Be Successful
We are looking for an experienced and commercially focused marketing professional who can build trusted relationships across technical, commercial and senior leadership teams. You will be confident managing multiple priorities, turning complex scientific information into engaging customer communications and using marketing insight to support measurable business growth.
Essential criteria include:
- Degree or equivalent qualification
- Significant previous experience in a Marketing or Business Development role
- Significant business-to-business marketing experience
- Strong commercial acumen and an understanding of customer needs, buying behaviours and how marketing activity can support sales growth
- Demonstrable experience of working with multiple senior Business Leaders across different disciplines, locations or time zones
- Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences
- Ability to translate complex scientific and technical information into clear, customer-focused value propositions and sales enablement materials
- Experience of managing multiple campaigns, projects and cross-functional activities
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret customer, campaign and market data and recommend practical actions
- Experience of problem-solving, negotiation and managing competing stakeholder requirements
- Budget and risk management experience
- Experience using customer relationship management platforms, such as Salesforce or HubSpot, to analyse and report on marketing performance
- A collaborative leadership style with a strong commitment to teamwork, coaching and development

Desirable criteria include:
- A life science degree or equivalent qualification
- A master’s degree or equivalent qualification
- Previous experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, contract development and manufacturing, or contract research environment
- Previous marketing management experience with supervisory or team leadership responsibility
- Experience creating sales enablement materials, lead generation campaigns or account-based marketing activity that supported pipeline growth or opportunity conversion
- Experience within small molecule, peptide or analytical services
- A technical or scientific background within a life science, chemistry or analytical environment

This position reports to the Vice President of Business Development and has direct responsibility for the Almac Sciences Marketing Associate.
