This is an exciting opportunity to lead as the Global Maturity Assessment Director within our Operational Excellence Team. In this role you’ll drive the global service line, delivering maturity assessments that provide unique insights and create innovative strategies to drive productivity across our client programmes. Your role will be essential in providing strategic direction, delivering actionable insight, and leading on change initiatives across the globe. You’ll also play a key role within our internal business, defining the next generation of our service line with AI and driving business development across all of our major sectors.
The successful applicant for the position will have extensive experience leading maturity assessments and improvement initiatives at a senior level, particularly within large capital programmes. You should have a proven ability to establish and develop teams at a senior level, enabling cross-organisation collaboration, driving improvements in both team performance and operational delivery.
You’ll Be Responsible For
- Global service leadership: You will lead and own the Maturity Assessment service line across the global Mace Consult business providing exceptional leadership to our colleagues and clients. This will involve continuing to develop our successful maturity assessment offering, with a focus on AI innovation leveraging digital tools and data-driven insights to enhance the offer.
- Delivery leadership and strategic improvement: attending client sites across the globe as required, you’ll work with a wide variety of client executives and leadership teams to design and lead effective maturity assessments that provide recommendations on how clients can best develop and transform their capital delivery.
- Thought leadership and capability development: Acting as a recognised subject matter expert in maturity assessments and capital delivery you will develop thought leadership, case studies, and market propositions. You will build and grow internal capability, including leading and developing assessment teams aligned to industry standards and emerging trends.
- Business development and growth: You will lead and support in business development, including bids, proposals, and client presentations, while identifying and converting opportunities for follow-on work through our commissions. You will also act as key point of contact, leveraging your experience to grow our global pipeline and strengthen our market positioning.

You’ll Need To Have
- Significant leadership experience in complex delivery environments and consulting positions.
- High level of technical, political and cultural acuity - able to work all major capital delivery sectors.
- Proven ability to communicate complex insights clearly and compellingly to executive audiences to inform and influence.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and utilise AI to drive further insight.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organisation.
- Bachelor’s degree and relevant post-graduate qualifications.
