Senior Manager / Director – Global Mobility & Employment Tax

Are you an experienced Global Mobility and Employment Tax specialist with an entrepreneurial mindset and a genuine appetite for business development?
Our client is a specialist, multi-disciplinary professional services firm providing legal, tax consulting, and human resources services with an international focus, and they are looking for a Senior Manager or Director to take responsibility for the continued growth and development of their Global Mobility & Employment Tax practice.
This is much more than a delivery role. The successful individual will have the opportunity to shape and build a practice, develop existing and new client relationships and, for the right person, work towards Partnership within the firm.
The Opportunity
The firm provides specialist advice to organisations looking to effectively manage, deploy, support and reward their people internationally.
- Working with a diverse client base that includes international listed businesses, venture capital-backed companies, and international law and tax firms, you will be part of a highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment.
- The firm also has an established international network, working with specialist firms across multiple jurisdictions to deliver seamless cross-border solutions for clients.
- You will take a leading role in developing the Global Mobility & Employment Tax offering, while working closely with colleagues across tax, legal, and consulting disciplines.

What You’ll Be Doing
You will have responsibility for both the delivery and growth of the practice, including:
- Managing the delivery of high-quality Global Mobility and Employment Tax advisory and compliance services
- Advising clients on the tax and social security implications of international assignments
- Managing and developing key client relationships
- Identifying opportunities to expand existing client relationships and win new business
- Leading business development initiatives, proposals, and pitches
- Building relationships with prospective clients and professional intermediaries
- Working closely with international partners and advisers on cross-border assignments
- Supporting the development of the firm’s international Global Mobility offering
- Providing oversight of the payroll function
- Developing the technical capability and knowledge of the wider team
- Identifying and implementing training and development opportunities for junior colleagues
- Contributing to the firm’s international alliance and cross-border projects

About You
We are looking for an experienced Global Mobility / Employment Tax professional who combines strong technical expertise with a commercial and entrepreneurial approach.
You will ideally have:
- Significant experience advising on the tax and social security aspects of international assignments
- Strong experience across Global Mobility and Employment Tax advisory and compliance
- Experience managing complex international assignment programmes
- Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills
- A proven interest in business development and winning new work
- The confidence to develop new relationships and generate opportunities
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Experience managing and developing junior team members
- The ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary environment
- An entrepreneurial mindset and the ambition to build and grow a specialist practice
ATT, ACA, ACCA, or CTA qualification is preferred.
